If you cross a male lion with a female tiger, you get a new animal called a liger.
Ligers can have both the stripes of a tiger and the mane of a lion, but they also grow almost twice as large as either animal. Ligers also like to swim like it's tiger parentage (unlike lions).
Stripes and a mane...

Are ligers cool or what?
also of note, If you mated a male tiger with a female lion, you get a tigon which is smaller than both a lion and a tiger.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

I swear, I thought all his talk about ligers and tigons was total crap, you know, just funny stuff for the movie. Then the other day I saw a picture of one of these on TV. And now, I have these pictures. Weird.

I wonder what they are breeding them for and if they plan to release them into the wild somewhere, but... not in my backyard.
