Why was that a frightening reminder of my recent life in West Philly??? ROFL....
OK imagine this. We drive around the absolute worst section of Philadelphia to go to people's homes to do homecare. Yes...in Kinsessing and West Philadelphia.
Me and my roomie who drive around in our honda accords and mercury sables are about the palest white girls around. Yeah, you can see blood vessels through our skin. haha
My exboyfriend...who is black as night...lives in West Philly. He often says things like in this video...because I don't know any black West Philadelphians who don't take issue with the cops.
So anyhow...the other day, Diane and I are driving her little Accord around West Philly...and I'm on the phone with James confirming where in hell we are. He says, "why don't you pull over and ask someone?"
REALLY? Was he kidding? BWAHAHA
Fortunately...Diane's dad is a state trooper. He was involved with the bombing of Osage Ave several years ago. He doesn't really like it when we drive around Osage. I'm sure the fact that Diane's dad is a cop would make us VERY popular with the west philly crowd!
But hell, at least we got access to all the mace we want!
That video was like a, "Welcome to my life" kinda thing. Too funny!!!
