I love music as well. It has helped me through a lot of tough times in my life. I use it to study by, it helped me study when I was in Paramedic school.
I always wanted to learn to play an insturment. So I decided to take up guitar. I bought one and a book and am self teaching myself. I have some freinds who know how to play and they are helping me.
So far all know now are some chords and my fingertips are really sore! Now I am just pissed cause I cant pick my nose!

Playing a musical intrument is a great way to spend your free time.

Playing guitar and drums since I was 10 is what kept a "bad" kid from turning into a "really bad, rotten, good for nothing, juvinile delinquint" kid. Grin

medic... Keep it up with the lessons and practice. Before you know it, there will be thick enough callouses on your fingers that it won't bother you any more.

And once those callouses get built up, they are rough enough to actually assist you with the nose picking thing.  crackup

I am a music JUNKIE!!!
Been playing drums since I could hold sticks and reach the bass drum pedal. Playing guitar since age 10, prp guitar by 15 and started playing bass...started playing piano & keys by 18...started singing at 24...
Have recorded over 100 songs by myself (not including the stuff I have done with other bands) and almost got to tour with the band "Anthrax" as lead guitarist, but became chronic with CH shortly beforehand. That would have been a sweet gig too. Just one of the many things clusters robbed me of.

That's okay. It is a new day, and I will get my revenge against the beast!

Oh, I LOVE music! Smiley

I grew up with classical music, then I loved rock, then pop, then country, then rock and now I love country again... Smiley

The music I listen to reflects me and the mood I'm in. Lately I have listened to Gretchen Wilson. You can hear clips of her songs at her website:

I've been a musician since I was 10 and if I had a medical condition that would stop me from performing properly, I would cancel the gig and give refunds to ticket holders. I loathe anyone who goes on stage and plays tapes for ANY reason. The acidosis thing is no excuse for faking it on stage.

I played trumpet from 5th grade until I graduated high school, and still pick it up occasionally. Then I taught myself guitar and I've played that for 15 years, filled in on bass when I had a band and the bassist didn't show, and I've been taking piano lessons for the past couple of years. Oh yeah: I sing, too.

Here's a bunch of really boring guitar playing from me in B flat and A on various guitars. There are also some guest appearances from my daughter Mackenzie.

I was playing along with a track.  eek5 But that's ok if you let people know your intentions.

It may get a little repetitive and boring since it's pretty long. I'm practicing the same thing over and over again. Getting ready for this years contest.

Pat...VERY COOL!  Grin

I was trying to sneak and hear it in my office and a couple of co-workers heard and had me replay it...one of them, a guy, said what John said about it sounding very bluesy...he also plays guitar and said you're very talented.  The other one, a woman, wanted to know if you're married.  LOL.  I think you have some fans, including me...Thanks for sharing.

Wow Pat!! I loved it! Thanks.
Mackenzie is too cute...I liked it when she was singing at the end and earlier when she was twirling around with her hands over her ears...LOL
Kids are funny. I love to sing (I can't sing, but I love to) My kids always ask me to not sing because I ruin all the songs they like! My 11yo once said...I remember how you always used to sing for us when we were little. I liked it a lot. When I hear you now, it kinda ruins the happy memory.  Undecided

Music...it's a good thing.  Smiley
