Thought I would share some a poem.....

I wrote this in high school. Even was published. Came across it by accident this weekend. Thought some of you might like it. Death Upon a Fiery Field Walking across a fiery field at down A lonely figure, with a shodowed face Slowly prodding in a general direction Fearing the thoughts going through the mind Burning buildings surrounding this solitary figure Crouched in a fox hole, suddenly running for fear of dying. A man jumped up and fired, almost within three seconds His dead body limp on the ground. Looking at the burning village from a nearby hill. Sees a child running from what was a hut Screaming child, looking for her mother. Crying until she was shot down, by a gun hidden behind a bush. Turning, trying to block the memories Fearing they will take over the mind. Now, walking in an open field, the sun blazes over the horizon. Tears streaming down the greiving face, falling on the steel black barrel Still hot fro mthe bullets piercing through it only moments before. Suuddenly, pain and anguish filled the face Blood could be stopped no more. Falling onto knees, life force draining Dead, finally fulfilled.

That was cool, Tia. If you wrote something like that in school today, you'd be expelled and sent to mandatory psychological therapy. Your locker and your home would be ransacked looking for weapons. All your classmates would be interviewed by the police to determine when you became such a violent person and the news channels would splash the story all over the television.

You are right. The funny thing was this was actually written for my creatuve writting class. It was my teacher that submitted it for publication. But now a days it would be a big red flag and the school system would freak the fuck out.

Yup. I forgot to put in there that after the kids saw all the hype on the news and started acting out themselves, parents would wonder where kids got the idea to be so crazy came from in the first place. There would then be another push to outlaw video games, skateboards and rap music. Is this a crazy country or what?

| You got that right. It's like the moron teacher in Florida that called the police on the nine year olds because they drew some pictures that weren't of sunsets. Aside from the cops who handcuffed the kids, it's incredibly stupid. If they saw the kind of shit I drew in school, I'd be doing 30 to life. They gotta stop this idiocy. Charlie
