The good news is that after extensive(and expensive) tests, it seems there is no serious problem with my heart after all. I have what is called a funnel chest...a portion of my rib cage bends in instead of out. As a result, any minor changes in my heart rate are amplified and appear to be more serious than they really are. I seem to have the same irregularities that 99% of all people have. Nothing serious. No need for medication after all.
The better news is that my doctor sees no threat to allowing me the pred taper and verap that has worked for me in the past to control my ch cycles.
The best news is that my cycle seems to be over for now, so I don't even need that. It's about time I got some good news. Thanks for all your support and PF lifetimes for everyone.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
