I just got the word that the pilots involved in the Kiowa crash yesterday wasn't my son. This has been the most grueling 24 hours of my life. It is with both relief and tears that I type this knowing 2 of his best friends were killed in the incident. He spoke so highly of both men and is probably heart sick. I love you all and jonny, gator I saw your posts yesterday but was awaiting word. I just recieved the names from FT Hood a couple of minutes ago. Thanks buds... love to you all Im going to have a drink now...............RIGHT NOW... love ree

Ree, I am so happy that your son is okay. I wish the same could be said about his friends... These situations are never simple nor easy... Best wishes to your whole family. You're in my prayers. Wishing for peace, Sandie

I am relieved and very happy that Scott is alive and well. I think I'll join you in that drink, Ree. A toast to all who serve and to those brave souls that fall in that service. Let us remember their sacrifice that others may live freely. It is such a terrible time in our lives when we wish news of death be for someone else. We feel relief when word comes that our family member lives and at the same time such sorrow for anothers loss and guilt for wishing it upon them. May this time of strife be ended soon and all our men and women be returned safely home. And may they be remembered and honored by a thankful nation.
