Watergarden
Silver moon pulling blankets of stars over
Softly whispering oyster beds while
Happy starfish washing ashore in the brine
Wave gently, courting coy hermit crabs into
The cool shallows
Luminous coral glows in the secret caverns of
Mermaids sighing their sweet songs over the bay in
A lullaby for downy albatrosses asleep on the waves
Atlantean ancestors rising from watery tombs
To walk majestic and proud through shattered
Streets and broken columns once more, filling the
Depths with music and soft laughter
Dawn spills her purse of rubies across the sky
Smiling warmly and with a sleepy yawn and stretch
Lays the waters to rest in lavender dreams until twilight
