WASHINGTON — The Senate Foreign Relations Commitee on Wednesday confirmed Condoleezza Rice (search) as the nation's next secretary of state by a vote of 16 to 2, sending her name to the full Senate for approval.
The two nay sayers were Barbara Boxer and John Kerry. That tells me making her Sec o State was the right move!

``I am really reluctant to try to put a timetable on that {the drawdown of US forces}, because I think the goal is to get the mission accomplished,'' Rice said Tuesday in confirmation hearings, ``and that means that the Iraqis have to be capable of some things before we lessen our own responsibility,'' she said.
I just hope the Iran Mission goes better than the Iraq Mission.

If Condy is so great, why did she ignore the threats that Osama Bin Laden wanted to hijack airplanes?
If Condy is so great, why did she spread the lies about Iraq having WMDs? She said it was 100% FACT that Saddam has WMDs and was only 45 minutes away from firing nukes at the USA.
Condy said that the the PDB section entitled "Bin Laden determined to strike US" was way to vague to really do anything about?
If Condy is so great, why did she not mention the words "al quaeda" or Osama Bin Laden at all prior to 9/11?

And BMonee... words of advice (ignore if you like) If you are a clusterhead (as you claim, and I have no reason to assume otherwise) then you should have a little thicker skin by now. People come here and often it takes them a while to 'understand' this place. We have a lot of light-hearted ribbing, and we have some downright mean-spirited posts as well. If you can learn to treat it like a family, then you might understand what I mean. Families often have little (or big) blow ups, but in the end they are still family. And family LOVES to never let you forget about the time you were an ass (we all have been there).
