Hey Gang, I am tired of the CRAP my boss has been given me about my "Little headaches" for a year now and so now the Doc is given me FMLA protection. I really didnt miss that many days I had to leave a couple times early though. If you all dont already know and have the same problem as long as you have worked fulltime for a year you have this right. So go to your HR department and then go see your Doc. Good Vibes MYNM156

I have had FMLA for a long time now....think mine may have expired as you have to renew it every year, or so my Doctor says....But, before my headaches were half way under control, I was out of work for five months...and FMLA saved my job...that and the fact that nurses are so few and far between anymore...Be sure and check about having to renew it yearly though. smiles, nancyc

I also have FMLA - it has saved my job. I don't miss that often but when you can only miss 5 times in one year before getting wrote up you gotta do what ya gotta do! I have to renew mine every 6 months. Your HR department should be able to tell you how often you have to renew! Good for you for taking the initiative to protect yourself (and your family!)!!!! Karen
