02 is really a life saver.

I tried 02 about 10 years ago, and it didn't really work for me but I didn't have the right mask or the right flow level.

I can't say that the 02 knocks them out but it sure eases the pain, I don't think I ever (so far) went over a kip 5-6 while using it, When the beast shows up in the middle of the night I don't even have to get up and pace.

One thing about the 02 that I really don't care for is how dry it makes me.

I live and die by O2. In fact, it is the only "medication" I use for my CH. I used to use Trex, but it just stretched out my cycles and the side effects made me miserable. I'm one of the fortunate that sees about 90% success in using O2 to abort a HA. I've got it at home (concentrators), in the car (a small tank) and at work (a large tank).

If you've never tried O2, at least give it a go and see if it works for you.

I love O2 and it definately is a life saver.  I had to use it 3 times in the last 7 hours cause I keep getting headaches.  It stops the headache dead in it's tracks and it never gets over a kip5 or 6 when I am taking the O2.  I have never had to rock or dance while taking O2.
Damn I love it

As I sit here looking at four full "E" tanks and a partial in the cart, I am confidant I can refuse the devil's invitation to "dance"

I can live with the beast as long as I don't have to "dance" with the bastard.

Okay.. I'm willing to give it a shot. We have a medical supply place here, but I don't know if they'll sell me the tubing, mask, and bubbler or not. I'm looking into buying a hi-flow regulator, at the moment. This next cycle, I'm going med-free, but thought I would really give O2 a chance. Unfortunately, neither my GP nor my neuro will prescribe it, so I'm cobbling together my own setup. Once I get the regulator, then I'll go to the welding supply place and get a tank.

I never go anywhere without my "little green buddies".
I get all my supplies from the welding supply, medical bottles, regulators, masks. But have to have a script for the tanks. But I have had an account with them for years, kept it when I shut down the trailer manufacture/repair biz. Next cycle going for the big a$$ cutting 02 bottle  Grin

Why won't they? Can't they see it helps and its so much cheaper than everything else??... or is that why maybe?

Frank, I rent the whole deal from the med place, but need a script.  The nice thing is they show you how to use it.  WTF is the deal with your docs?
