O2 from E2 a clusterbuddy story

SO much of what goes on here happens beyond the screens I thought I'd share this one:

As posted (with pics) in the “Lionsound and E-Double …a small world” thread I finally met Eric in person and it was truly an amazing experience.

After we talked for hours over something we ate and drank at the diner (food? We manged to fit food in between all that yaking?) we went back to my friends, his cousins!(see other thread) house. He sat there with me helped me to explain, to my surrogate parents, and my kids, about CH and oxygen and trex ….he even got his trex pack out and showed them.

I hold the gift of his frienship dearly within my heart and he has been a blessing and more to me and my family. I was so excited to meet him and give him a hug in person instead of like this:  hug

What Eric failed to mention in his usual compassionately selfless form is that he had the foresight to insist I borrow an extra O2tank from him. I wasn’t sure I would need it and he suggested I take it just in case.  (As it turns out my husband forgot to bring my extra tank when he arrived the next day. And I used up the one I had and then Eric’s too)

I took a picture of the tank because never before had I gone somewhere had someone on the other end of my travels care about what happens to my head…let alone be there handing me an O2 tank out of the trunk of his car.  It blew my mind.

And when it came time to use it I was sitting in the bedroom by myself rocking back and forth..tunes blaring in my headphones….mask on my face…..…I didn’t feel alone.

Thanks, EEEEEEEE Smiley

I like this picture because it looks like the clouds parted and a beam of SUNSHINE appeared to reveal ….O2! Grin

Fantastic post!

I have always said, that as bad as CH is.....there are good things that result from it.   We would never have known the true gift of giving and sharing and compassion had it not been for CH.

I think we are selfish by nature.   CH damn sure gives us the desire to share.

It truly warms the heart.....to see the total unselfishness of one to another.  Just like the thread where Jayne needed help for a clusterbrother.   Instant response was there for her.

Eric,

I still remember the 1st time your wife posted here.   You have come a long way, baby!

Keep on helping and sharing and know that the sun shines brighter because of people like you.

Much love from Texas!
