Hi everybody, Just wanted to update my mushroom experiment. I stopped all meds about 2 month ago. Complete detox. I had ended up in the hospital because of a new dose of prednisone that my neuro put me on. Anyway, I just rely on oxygen and mushrooms. I've done a few medium to large doses with 7 days intervals. I tell you, it's worth it. Not only I'm getting full nights of sleep, but I also get less HA and less intense... I can actually read magazines while sucking on 02. Before, I rolled on the floor crying, banging my head, you know the drill... so right there.... HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!! Tonight, I'm takin a Monster Dose (7g of dried) Mixture of Ecuadors and Hawaiians.... I hope this will put an end to my chronic and endless cycle. Wish me luck and I'll keep you guys updated in a few days. PF vibes to all and special thanks to Pink Floyd for his kindness and generosity.... Rex

Good luck Rex. Glad to hear you're getting some decent sleep. I hope you knock the beast for a loop. Right now I am in search of fungi as I've pretty much hit the wall with the CH's being out of control and have reached the point of desperation. I keep remembering 2001 - I went from 6-10 attacks a day down to 1 or 2 a week. I just hope if/when I try it again that I will either get the same results - or knock the fucker permanently out. Keep us posted, and wishing you PFD&N's, CD

Hey Rex, First, hope you have success with your treatment. Second, over on the Medications, Treatments, Therapies section is a long running string (since about last May) about alternative treatment. It was started by miapet and is titled 'no longer chronic'. I think your message would be nice there. Thanks.

Very curious to hear how that goes. When you say medium to heavy doses, you mean like 3 to 5 grams? that is a pretty healthy size. And you having been doing them in 7 day intervals for how long? Glad it's working for you. That is a really good feeling when you can beat the beast. PF Wishes to you BMonee

Seven grams? Dried? Seven dried grams. Seven. You've GOT to be kidding me! Either you had some crappy stock, or you were so high you didn't even realize people were using flying gaffs to pull you down off the ceiling. Seven grams. Dried. Seven. That's truly heroic. How's Wotan? RJ

Thank you everyone... So, yeah.. 7grams! And no... not a crappy batch... The largest I had done before was 26.9 g of FRESH on Christmas Eve and that was out of this world. Last night, I had a full conversation with "what I would call God" who appeared to me as Gonesh (sometimes spelled Ganesh), the Hindu Elephant God. Nope, I'm not Hindu, I was raised Catholic (not by choice ) I'm not gonna go in full details about the trip, because words would be useless to try to describe my experience, but it was the most beautiful place I've ever been too... And I saw the magic at work, my eyes teared up, and I got that draining feeling I've only read about. It was a true cleansing of body and soul.... I'm not into all that new age crap, but this was truly amazing... Anyhow, the reason I took such a high dose is that the previous doses were strong, but I always could tell the beast wasn't going away, just fading. Everytime I felt close to what I was trying to accomplish, but the headaches would come back.... weaker, less often but still there!!! Today, after only 3 hours of sleep, I felt great, and guess what... I had a headache!!! Not a CH, just a good old headache, so I took aspirin, which was scary since that stuff used to double my CH, but it went away!!! No soreness, no shadow, a clean head for the first time in ages... Keep in mind, I'm chronic and was getting hit 4-5 times per night with kip 7, 8, and 9 on a daily basis.... even when I was on meds. I got fed up and took everything I had left of my shroom supply. My wife was worried, but I have no fear of the cubensis. I know what it does, how it works... and to me that beats the freakin pain I've been in for too long... I don't suggest to anyone to take such a large dose, unless you've done fairly large amounts in the past and know what to expect.... I will keep you guys updated on my progress, but I'm now convinced that mushrooms hold the solution for a lot of us. Pink Floyd (Bob Wold) has been a great help and support. And I've made a nice donation to M.A.P.S. Again, thanks to all of you for your best wishes and encouragements, and for your concern. Bottom Line: I made it, it was a wonderful experience and most of all.... I FEEL GRRRRRREAT!!!!!! -Rex

Wow, that's great, Rex! I think I may give the alternative treatment a go sometime around June. Hmmm, I'll turn 40 in June, maybe for my birthday? It merits thought... I've done LSD before, but never the natural stuff... Slight pause whilst I ruminate... Joe

I highly suggest anybody wanting to try this form of treatment go to the clusterbusters site and read all you can...then when you think you understand it all go back and read it again! I truly believe in this treatment but it must be done with much care.... it's not for everybody, but a miracle for some. Still headache free Major
