Saturday thoughts

It’s a frigid cold Saturday.  Cold that even the air seems as if it will break off in your hand to touch it, and still as if literally frozen in place.  I can hear the ceiling beams crack as they shrink away from the nails that hold them together.  Each time echoing like the slamming of a door, tighter against the bitter winter’s chill.

I curl up with my cup of tea, wrapped in my fleece blanket, mimicking the blanket of snow on the ground outside.  A feeble attempt at self-protection, as the snow protects the delicate seeds of the grass beneath.

The walls close in on me in this cold.  Unable, or more…unwilling to venture out from at least the implied safety and security of this tiny little place I call home.  So far from where I was…but farther still, from where I thought, ok more precise, where I hoped maybe I would be.  But then, life has a strange knack of getting in the way of itself.

Sometimes, the wind picks up and moves the clapper on the bamboo wind chimes outside my window.  Gentle reminder maybe, that there is life beyond the cold?  That all things go on as they have before.  That everything is the same as it ever was and, sadly, as it will ever be.

I saw an act of faith today. A man was on his knees, not in a pew in a Church, but in a garden planting seeds. ~~Unknown

Hey Red, those thoughts jes stole my heart.  Nature has a strange way of imposing it's will upon us all.

Thinkin of ya curled up with yer tea and sending you vibes for peaceful and fulfilling co-existance = strength within beastly winter***

I watched a program on National Geographic channel about animals in Africa dealing with drought (drowt Huh) - anyway - i watched it with my daughter.  There were crocks, and baboons, and deer - and all became desperate because of this horrendous drought (drowt Huh).  It was hard to watch what happened to the animals both physically and "emotionally", but it gave me something in the way of perspective about living in the world -- and i got to thinkin -- what if we do come back -- how am i living my life now -- how will it translate for me when i do come back -- as?????hmmmm Smiley

See?  It ain't that cold here, but it's cold nonetheless.  And the wheels keep turning Smiley

Well wishes***

Lovely... Time just keeps moving along at its steady pace, like a river or a waltzing dance. Sometimes, it's all we can do to keep step with it. The beat goes on...

Love to you, Redd.
