Was just checking my CH log I started back in May. (I'm a newbie) I just got over hit 1201. I've never looked at it in that kind of timeframe before. UGH!!! At least now however I have abortives. O2 and Trex. And I’m on my 4th Prevent. Topamax. This has me down to about 1 hit a night for the most part anyway. But it's progress anyway. Question though. Pattern right now is I go to bed and wake up and hour later and have to abort. Staying up later does not make any difference at all. I'm taking 12 mg's melatonin to help with the little sleep I get already. I wish that if I'm going to get hit that it would get itself over with before I go to sleep. I’m sick of waking up every dam night. But if I try to wait it out it never comes then hits as soon as I fall to sleep. ARG!! Any Ideas!

Some have been talking about adding Benadryl along with Melatonin for a night time cocktail. Some also use dramamine. Good luck brother and know your not alone (been since May as well dude) It'll work out! Try to focus on the other things in life that are a hell of a lot better than the demon....THERE MUST BE QUITE A FEW! Best, Eric

Hey John...I don't usually get hit at night, so it's not part of the info I've memorized...but, if I not mistaken the CH nighttime pattern has more to do with the phase of sleep you are in versus the actual time on the clock. I think. I have seen what Eric is suggesting posted by others who have success with the combo. I hope you get some relief soon, sweetie...hang in there! love to you, nani

The only thing I can add is to sleep in a recliner. Sometimes the beast would hold off; if not that, I would often have one less hit. Give it a shot. Charlie

I echo Charlies advice. During a really reallly bad time with Ch's I spent a LOT of time in the recliner. Was able to "doze" off and on a lot more than laying flat. Still not the most restful sleep, but a heck of alot better than zero. P.S. If ya can't buy one, RentaCenter has an AWESOME rocker/recliner/heated/massaging chair. Oooooooh loved it! Hugs and Vibes. Hope it gets much better for you soon!
