The Silent Blue Menagerie
Walking alone one runny watercolored day
Through deserted aisles at the zoo
Sad, listless animals gazing out
Late night phone call still echoing
Like a pebble dropped down a deep well
Like the sound of her dreams (Hail! The Queen!)
Now crushed and vacant like an old fire
Exhibit Three!
Ferocious, Exotic Creature!
The bleeding colors of the placard
Love!
In shrieking red...
The creatures all gazing in
Wandering bonecold exiled and lost
Through the silent blue menagerie
