Is there an actual chat room as such or is this where we have a yarn. Just that there r about 10 online and not a lot of activity, unless they,re reading & answering

If nothing else, open a second browser window and go into the chatroom, then start a thread here named "Chat Anyone?"
If you wish, you can put a reason why you want/need to chat, but you don't have to enter text in the message. (except maybe the link to the chat) Most everyone here knows this is an invitation to chat in the aforementioned chatroom. If anyone feels like chatting, they will meet you there. Usually someone will come to check it out.

I have been to this chat room several times, and it is always empty. I have not had anything earth shattering or ground breaking to chat about, but was wanting to meet and chat real time to try and get to know others a little better.

Try my suggestion above, like I said, you don't need a reason. Other than that, the chatroom is usually rocking between 9 pm and 10 pm Central time and I've been in chat as late as 4:30 am, though I have not been there as much recently as I used to be.

I usually log in for awhile each day and lurk incase someone wants to chat.
Only prob is I leave it up on a monitor to my left an I get busy and forget to check it.
So please be patient with my dumb ass.
