Well, I'm not from NY, but I'll give it a shot. I saved the pic and turned up the gamma so I could actually see it. Looks like a couple burners and since the name of the file is boilerface.jpg, my guess is the burners from a boiler. Gator

How am i supposed to know - after all- if i had my way i'd a been a native of key west and spend most of my time daydreaming about it..............sun, fish, hats, glasses, x-treme sunburn(only once), conk, partying with gay people all the time (woooHOOOOOOOOOOOOO , telling people that i'm wearing a "new york" dress when i really bought it at the neighborhood thrift.... i'm going to live at Hemingways one day and feed the cats. I'm gonna guess that it's an aerial view of a railway yard. Which one...I don't know. Hell...I'm not even sure that's what it is. Jimmy

Well Gator's close....... and so are several of you. It is part of a steam boiler used to produce power in a pulp plant. Nothin' to do with New York tho' - I meant New Year!! ( Kiwis) We'd just poured these oil guns - the "eyes" on the pic - in this fairly old boiler (1950s vintage, Foster Wheeler) so with my new digicam I took some pix. I was looking at them on the computer while our daughter stood behind me. "Look Mum! It IS haunted!! It's got a face!" Some of the work really is art. Filbert - we'd just FIXED it! Grandma - Many have said that most of the places we work look like the entrances to hell, and we joke that they'll need plenty of brikkis there........ Jonny - one day I'll post a pic of my vibrator......... (the one we use to ram product in) (NO NO! NOT ram it in THERE!) but you'd dig the welding and steelwork - all stainless and a true work of industrial art which sadly, no-one ever sees ('cept us) Thank you all for your guesses. Silly file name tho'. Gave the show away. I'll fool y'all next time......... BTW it's only a few hours from midnight down here so Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! firebrix and Mopar.
