It never ceases to amaze me, after all of these years of hits, you'd think you could get used to it, but I am just amazed every time how much these fuckers hurt.

I know exactly what you mean T.
For years I used to think I was being a wimp and that nothing could possibly hurt that bad. Then I met my first clusterhead (M.R.) last year and the first thing I asked him was "does it really hurt THAT bad?"...ya'll know the answer to that one, eh?

The only bright side is that we build up a pain tolerance to OTHER pain. I scared my doc with a stomach pain at about an 8. He went white and said, "How can you be at an 8 and not screaming your head off?" I just laughed at him and said, "Cause I have CH. This is making me uncomfortable enough to come see you." Before CH, a hangnail would put me to bed for a couple of days. After CH, I consider "other" pains a discomfort. They hurt, but I've lived thru CH so what the heck...
And no the CH pain doesn't get any better and we're not wimps. I've given birth without antisetic (or however you spell that word) and I've had CH. No comparison - I'll take the childbirth any day of the week.
No vibes guesst - but your observation was pretty accurate - it doesn't get better and we don't get used to it. We just learn to live with it...

I agree, I experimented by trying to focus on a single object and attempted to convince myself that its not going to kill me and I can take the pain, all of it.....................that experiment failed
