An odd thing happened.....

So the whole family (well 12 of us) went off to church for the candlelight service.... (it was good, saw friends, hugged lots of the good friends, talked way too much)  hug

But afterwards we headed to my mother's house.

While I was there, I was talking about the HA's and explaining water, meds, etc. to the unwilling to understand masses. (Cause I was Kip5 and cranky)
When my brother-in-law walks into the room and asks "what kind of HA's are they? "
Explain again, and with a weird look on his face he says..."I'm on trex for mine...i've been in remission for over ten years, they just came back this fall." jaw_drop
Well, holy holdout, my sister said nothing before...
They've been married for 14 years and nothing...

Needless to say, the conversation finally had an understanding participant.

I've told him all about the site, but they don't have internet, and he doesn't understand computers, but he said he may get his 12 year old to help him look it up, while he's here... damncomputer

It's cool to have someone understand.

at my family parties, when I start to wince
my mother is sooo helpful.

"Why doncha go an have a lie down in the back room?"

hahahahahaha

and then my older sis, Godsent as she is
says, "I've got an extry Zomig from my migraines,
have one, hope it helps..."

Thank the Lord for holiday get togethers.

An amazing story.  Until I found this place, I never met another clusterhead, you have one right in your family!  Ten years in remission?  That in itself is amazing!  I do think it's sorta bittersweet to have someone in your family that can relate, though unfortunate he also has to suffer this way.  I do hope he makes it here to the site.

PF wishes to you... Wink

This site provides a sense of family to all of us. I am happy and proud to call all of my fellow "cyber CHers" my friends. You have provided solace and understanding beyond description in my short amount of time active in this board. I love you all like family.

You have helped me through some very rough times the past four weeks since I exited remission after 3 PF years. I derive tremendous strength and fortitude from the knowledge that there are so many wonderful people that have the same sufferings that I do. God Bless you all.
