WHY DO WE SAY WHAT WE SAY TO EACH OTHER, WHEN IN ALL THINGS THAT COUNT WE’RE THE SAME? WHAT DO WE GAIN BY DIVIDING EACH OTHER, BY ATTACHING SOME LABEL OR NAME? ARE YOU LIBERAL, CONSERVATIVE, SOMETHING BETWEEN? ARE YOU CHRISTIAN, A MUSLIM, OR JEW, REPUBLICAN, DEMOCRAT, LEFT WING OR RIGHT? DO YOU LIVE IN A RED STATE OR BLUE? SINCE WHEN DID THOSE THINGS THAT BRING US TOGETHER, SEEMINGLY CEASE TO MATTER AT ALL? WHO CARES WHAT PARTY OR RELIGION WE ARE THAT’S OUR CHOICE IN THIS LAND OF THE FREE. REJOICE IN OUR DIFFERECES, LISTEN AND LEARN, WE CAN STILL WITH RESPECT DISAGREE. BUT LET’S FIND AND EMBRACE THE GOOD IN EACH OTHER, PUT ASIDE THE DISTRUST AND THE FEAR, AND GIVE THANKS FO THE BLESSINGS THAT EACH OF US SHARES, AT THIS WONDERFUL TIME OF YEAR. SO THIS HOLIDAY SEASON LET’S PLEDGE TO OURSELVES, TO REMEMBER JUST HOW WE’RE THE SAME, AND TELL ALL WHO SEEK TO DEFINE AND DEVIDE US, WE WON’T BE A LABEL OR NAME.
