I've got this really cool project going on at home and I'm so happy about how it's turning out, I had to share it. First, I bought this neck to replace the piece of crap that was on... This guitar. Next, I painted it to match. It's not done yet but now it looks like this. Once I finish the clear coat and buff the crap out of it, it's my Christmas present to myself.

How does it attach? Bolts? Screws? Adhesive? A combo of them?

4 screws go through a metal plate on the back of the body and into the heel of the neck. Some other guitars have the necks glued in place. Most Gibsons use that method. It's better but more permanent. They're hard to remove for replacement or repairs.

Thanks Frank. I guess I did OK for my very first try at a sunburst finish. I can't wait to play the thing. The anticipation while I wait for one clear coat to dry so I can move on to the next is driving me nuts.

| Whether I play well or not is strictly the opinion of who ever is listining and I respect everyones opinion. Some think I suck. Some think I'm OK. Some think I'm great. I think I play well enough to satisfy myself. I do have a short clip from a contest I entered last year. If you have a pretty decent connection, check it out here. http://www.kashmirchicago.com/Pat/SoloWKramer.wmv BTW: Keep your daughter going on them lessons. The younger they start, the better it is for them. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Pat
