My boxing match with the Beast (language warning)

Hello everyone, I don't post very often, but I religiously read the board daily. I thought I'd share a little story with you guys... Last night the beast woke me up for the 4:30am match. Man, was he in a rare form! The mofo pounded me like he was King Kong on crack! Bang, boom, splash! For the first time I tried to fight back. Instead of crying and begging him for mercy, I started insulting him. Called him a coward, a girl thingy, etc... Asked him to come out of my head so I could properly kick his fuckin' ass.... I tell you what... Bad idea! This thing's got it's own entity and he doesn't like to be called names (girl thingy). The pain almost tripled!!! With one hand I was holding the O2 mask and with the other I held a block of ice to the side of my head. I couldn't do much but pace around the O2 tank which looked like I was busting some dance moves that would have made James Brown blush... (By the way, I never dance ...) I shouted to the beast: "Alright m*th*rf**k*r, this is your last days here. I'm evicting your skanky ass! Fucking freeloader! If I was you, I'd leave right now you dirty fucking piece of shit!!! Mr Cubensis is gonna kick the living shit out of you. You suck shit out of a pig's not a very nice person! You Osama bin Cluster!!! Eat crap and die!!!" My unusual cockiness came from the fact that I'm growing shrooms and in about 5 days, my babies will be ready to take action! It will be Gozilla verses King Kong (the beast). I'll keep you guys posted on the results. Anyway, this fight went on for about an hour, and by the time it was over, I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked like De Niro in Raging Bull. My right eye was almost completely shut and still teary and red. I looked like I was 80 years old. But I laughed my ass off anyway (I guess because it was over) It's amazing how this crap makes you act like a mental patient Linear note: I've been off all meds for the past 3 weeks, because I got so sick of trying every med my neuro put me on. It did nothing but agravate my condition and made me sick as a dog. I ended up in the hospital because of the prednisone. High blood pressure (off the charts) and dehydration as well as a dangerous level of white cells in my blood. Thanks for letting me rant and rave! Cheers and PF vibes to all! Rex

Man, you're tougher than me. I used to tough it out each time but it's been years. I know once the O2 fails and it's in the middle of the night the trex shot is right behind it. Sometimes I wake up too late k3+ or so and I bypass the 02 altogether. Doesn't the trex work for you or is it too hard on your system?

Marlin, I've never been on Imitrex. I have a phobia with needles (ask the few doctors I've punched). And after what I went through with the other meds (prednisone, verapamil, propanolol, etc..) my last hope is the shrooms. Pink Floyd has been in touch with me and being very helpful.... Jonny, I'm growing, growing, growin...!!! Eddie and Jeepgun, thanks for your wishes! Cheers to all of you! -Boxing Rex

Stay strong brother. I grew mine too. Don't know if it did anything now that I'm out of cycle, but it was fun. Hoping that the next cycle doesn't come back for a loooong time. Best of luck to ya!

Rex, if your doc OKs it I strongly encourage you to get an Imitrex kit. I'm tellin' ya, on a night like last night the pain will force you to do a shot. In my case, after diong it once it was all over. You never even see a needle. It's a pen. Do yourself a big favor. I hate to promote the pharmas but shit, for me, this stuff has probably saved my life and definitely saved my marriage.

Hey Rex - loved the candid descriptors, hate your pain. I'm with the one who said they can't just suffer thru anymore and reach for the imitrex when the 02 isn't enough. For the one afraid of needles, I use the trex spray and it really helps me. Good luck all. dagger

Marlin, I understand what you're saying. I actually have a nice supply of Maxalt which has worked wonders for me but I'm detoxing. It's part of the mushroom thing. So, I'm toughing it out. It's by choice, even though it's harder than I thought it would be, but I have faith. Luckily my wife is an angel and the most supportive person I could hope for in my life. I'll be fine, but thanx for your concern...

| Dagger, I can and can't take the pain at the same time. I'll be playing with the Beast until I dose. I'd take a nasty CH attack any day if I could be reassured that no one else on this board does. That would actually make me happy, and there would be a good reason for the suffering, but it doesn't work like that.

You have it worse than me. I'm episodic so going through a few weeks with up to 3 shots in a day is really no big deal because I'm expecting my cycle to end any day. Good luck with the shrooms and please let us know how it works for you.

Rex, I'm chronic as well and now battling the beast with the fungi. The hardest thing is the detox and some hits between doses but I had 72hours of NO PAIN after my initial dose. No pressure, no clogged nostril, no nothing. Did you get a case #? p.m. me if ya want to chat! Good days ahead for you, Renee

Hello Renee, I've been med free for 3 weeks now. Funny enough, the first days without meds were great! And honestly, I don't miss them. I hate pills! What do you mean by a case number??? I'm planning on taking a heavy dose at first. Not afraid whatsoever. Mushrooms and I are old friends even if I haven't done drugs in about 15 years, I have nothing but great memories about shrooms. I just wish the little buggers would grow faster!!! Right now it is pure hell at night. Can't sleep more than 2 hours without getting hit by his Majesty Mofo. Anyway, I will post my results once I get back down to earth. I hope you stay PF!!! Rex
