Those kind of pansies seem each have their own little faces. That one looks like a grouchy old man who just woke up with his Mickey Mouse ears still on from last summer's Orlando trip. Must be still mad he didn't get to see Mickey because a hurricane cut his DisneyWorld visit short. His wife is still sleeping on his right, next to him. Kevin M

That goose picture remeinds me of a Christmas goose that nearly put me in jail in Maryland. I was visting my mother for Chrustmas who lives in Sparks Maryland when I was about 19 or 20. Sparks and the surrounding townships were then very much country with ponds and open fields everywhere. A buddy of mine and I went out criusing the redneck bars and after lots of Wild Turkey and JD and no women in site we decided to go look for a couple Christmas geese. We had the shotguns and his Chesapeake bay retriver in the truck already(hmmm. maybe thats why we were striking out) and knew the perfect spot. The only problem was the pond was not too far from the main house on the targeted farm. We parked his truck a good ways away up a side road and snuck over to the pond that was loaded with geese. It was dark and we were shitfaced and it was December and f in cold. We got ourselves set, loaded the shotguns and no sooner did we get off a couple shots when the house lights went on and their dogs started barking. We stood there and watched two geese fall back into the pond and the dog take off towards the house. My buddy took off after the dog and I jumped into the pond to get the geese. He finally got the dog before it could get wrapped up with the house dogs and I scramled back up the bank with the two geese. The house lights went off and we thought we had it made. We got ready to head out and heard the county boys hauling ass towards us at full speed. We took off down a deep ravine stumbling and falling all the way. I had the geese and the guns and my buddy had his useless dog. We ended up running down the ravine about a 1/2 mile away from the truck and couldn't go any further. By now we're both soaked, freezing cold and dead sober. But we got the damn geese. It turned out the boys in blue were headed somewhere else and went right past us. We thought they were trying to outsmart us so we sat in the ravine freezing our asses off for about and hour. Thank god we had a pint of schnapps and plenty of smokes. We made it back to the truck and threw the dog and the geese in the back and headed home. My mother only asked once where the goose came from. I don't rememebr what I told her but she knew I was full of sh!t. Best damn goose i ever had.

Lake Artemesia off of Greenbelt road just east of Route 1 in College Park. I think it's Berwyn Heights.

Ah HA! So that's where the geese from our lagoon went! I miss their noisy, flying V formation landings in the evenings but it is hot here now - especially for Canadian Geese. Great to have your inspiring pictures again. We missed you vig! Glad you're back. firebrix

Lotsa geese, but noticably less geese dung.... Great story Karma This is why I left CHicago. I heard it snowed there yesterday. There's still live flowers down here: Smile and enjoy your day

Beautiful pics Vig. Simply beautiful. I get lost in sky pics. Everyone thought I was strange (who, me?) because every since I was a kid, I have had a thing for sunrises and sunsets. The sky can be a never-ending artist. Peace, Carl D

Now these pansies, Paul, look like a family enjoying a day in the sun. But on the left it looks like dad's eyes were following a bikini clad pansy go by and still can't seem to hide his jaw dropping. Mom, on the right is just enjoying the day in the sun oblivious to hubby's distraction and on here lower right, junior seems to be bugging her to go scateboarding with the bigger boys. The one lowest in the picture is the hungover teenager wondering "why do I have to be here". Kevin M
