Does anyone ever find that their memory span is not as good as it use to be after having Clusters?

I have great long-term memory, but I am chronically absent-minded. I don't know if it's due to cluster headaches or not, though.

I started having to write down where I parked my car. If I got hit at work, I would have no idea where I left it. I could barely remember the names of the people I worked with, let alone the topics we were discussing in meetings.

My memory has been going south for a LONG time. Whether it has anything to do w/ CH? I don't know. I've heard that one of my prevents, Neurontin, can cause some memory loss...

I'm not very sure whether it is linked to the Clusters or not. But ever since this last episode I find that I am rather absent-minded (which was never the case before). The long-term memory is still working 100%. But it's the short-term memory that worries me. I can't seem to remember simple things that were easy to remember previously.

I'm 58 and haven't been hit in 13 years. My short term memory is a bit less reliable and my long term is getting better with evey gray hair. So far so good. That's the way things usually go. I don't think CH was a factor for me. Charlie

Long term memory? Outfuckingstanding. Almost remember my birth. Okay, not exactly, but can remember back as far as 3 or 4. Short term? I can't remember what I just did 5 minutes ago, when is the last time I pissed, or where my ass is this moment. Absent minded, Carl D

| CH hasn't affected anything. Haven't been able to remember squat for well over 3 decades, and that's why I've employed the latest in technology 24/7/365 since 1970. Maybe it was all that LDS. RJ

Andrew you are quite right - at least the annoyance can be forgotten in a second ... Although I'm rather irritated and frustrated with people around me when the spell hits me! It's really terrible - it's like a change in personality just until the episode disappears! Take care everyone..

Yeah my memory has sucked for years now....I blame it on the CH. Long term and short term memory. I hate when Sam will say remember when and I don't! He'll tell me and it will sound familiar but thats usually about it. What was the question again?

I was going to post this yesterday but went to get a cup of coffee and when I got back I remembered I left the coffee in the kitchen and had to go back and get it and by the time I got back to the computer I couldn't remember what I was going to do so I took a nap. When my cluster first started I had a good short and long term memory. Now, only 30 years later, I suffer from CRS syndrome. BobG Member in good standing to Post-it Note of the Month Club.

Thank you guys for your responses - I guess I'm not going nutty out here on my own .. and there must be a link between the clusters & some kind of memory disfunction...

| Yea honestly I don't even remember much at all of the last three years of my life. Vague images at best but I've been happy every since. lol Ignorance isn't bliss it's the kingdom itself. The same applies to never knowing what you are talking about. Sure people think you are insane or whacked out on drugs but it's a much better life for me.

Me's thinking maybe all the replies with the word "Bong" might have something to do with it?? Lithium did my memory in for a long time, conversing on the computer to old Classmates has helped bring back a lot of it though! Pappy
