But things are fucked up lately.
Bad fucked up.
The last 2 nights have entailed 4 attacks each, and today couldn't leave the house to make my runs and get the things done I needed to due to my lower half of my body being in extreme pain.
Also just found out one of my buddies was beat to death in Alton Saturday night after leaving work and being assaulted by two teens who beat him to death for a pack of cigarrettes. A PACK OF FUCKING CIG'S FOR A LIFE!
Words cannot describe what I feel right now so, if I'm not posting, it is because I don't want to keep posting on all of the bad shit over and over. I know, it gets old hearing it. It gets even older living it.

It does make sense however to stop these horrific events by finding out why. And what purpose does prison serve when they are clearly quite ill themselves. Hospital, help. It's like the mothers who get so outraged when they see a woman take their own kids lives. It's rarely questioned how can a woman do that? How much pain must she be in menatally to kill her own kids? A mother should be able to understand this better than anyone. But the masses use only emotion and very little mind. It's called mob mentallity for a reason. Beyond two lawyers playing a mental chess game the mind is not really looked at in any way. Both sides one straight agenda. The problem is someone needlessly died again and it causes people pain, agree, not good. But it's not the end of the tragedy and we are to blind to look at it's dawn. Violence doesn't solve violence and thinking about two kids in the kind of violent atmosphere of a prison! Seems a bit sick, but nevermind opinions. It's tragedy and half of it isn't even being seen.

As for you, Andrew, you seriously need a reality check. As a culture, we make excuses for everything. An otherwise healthy person picks up a bottle and drinks himself into oblivion and we call him sick with alcoholism. A person picks up a pack of cigarettes, reads the warning that it may kill them then gets to sue the manufacturer when they get cancer. Some dumb-ass buys a cup of coffee and spills it on themselves and they get to sue because the coffee was hot. Someone injures or kills another person and s/he is let off because the poor soul was abused as a child. There is no personal responibility anymore. There is always a "reason" or excuse for a person's bad behavior. Everyone is a victim of their environment or upbringing. This weak-willed pandering to "underlying causes" is part of what is causing things to get out of hand. Parents are afraid to discipline for fear of being charged with child abuse. Courts send kids the message that it's okay to act out because they fail to impose any meaningful punishment for first and repeat offenders. People turn their heads because they don't want to get involved or they are afraid the punks will come back and hurt them because some judge let the kid off.
Instead of more sensitivity, we need to bring back personal responsibility and consequences for behavior. I'm tired of all this political correctness and excusing those who choose not to conform to our society's expectations. There is nothing in a teenagers life that would give him or her a good reason to kick the life from a person they didn't even know, except maybe extreme mental illness.

Or maybe the fact they have been so doped up on meth for so long their reasoning of consequence is gone and they just don't give a fuck about anything except fufilling their own needs. We live in a society where a 15 year old kid will beat you over the head with something if he thinks he can trade your watch for a rock or something. Think I'm kidding? Then you're still living in a Walton's state of mentality. Sadly, in time it will only get worse. Or do we need another Columbine to teach us that?
