I believe that the world is a better place. Not just because I am here but what I have contributed. I have given my parents and my wifes parents to wonderful grandkids. I take care of the sick and injured. Also god dont make junk.

Ruth, and to all who are wondering who medic is. I am a paramedic with ambulance service. My name is Rodger I have had CH since I was 15. Mine are seasonal, THANK GOD, I dont think I could handle chronic. As far as my kiddos who I dearly love are 12 year old girl who is smart and funny and a 9 year old boy who is a typical boy, both of whom live with my ex wife. I also have a girl who is 6 red-headed and look just like my wife, then there is my little buddy who is 4, he is so silly. I love all my kiddos more than life itself and they would not be here if I had never came along.

I have a son of 9 too and a little boy of three as well as a daughter of 10, little horrors the lot of them but my magnum opus too!
Thanks for telling us more about you, its nice to know and its great to know there is at least one paramedic who we will never have to explain anything to! Smiley

The shame of it is that the only thing we carry on an ambulance is morphine, fersed, valium, and a BIG bottle of O2. I have never picked up any CH. Pleanty of folks complaining of migraines, but none have ever described to me a CH. But if I ever do I am sure with the drugs and O2 that I have on the ambulance, I am sure I could give enough O2 to help and enough of the pain med to sedate you all enough that you would not care. The down side to the ambulance is I cant medicate myself, except for the O2.

I have been a friend.

I will stop on the side of the road and fix your flat.

I will bushhog or mow your yard if you can't (only if you are close)

I will do a million things for those that need it.

I have been in public service 23 years helping those that need it (sometimes even if they didn't want it)

That and more is what country boys do!

Now I do planning, preparation, reintergating public health into local response efforts.

I have tried to help people all my life, but it always turned out they were helping themselves.   I give to charity, but my expense to salary ratio is so low I would be a jerk if I did not.  I tried volunteering once but there are so many retired people around here that all the volunteer positions have waiting lists.   I took my nephew under my wing when he was young, he went from a D student to an A student and an Eagle scout, then he stumbled and flunked out of college soon as he got out on his own.  The one time I stopped and helped somebody with there car he turned out to be an insane homosexual who had some horrible things to say, so I never did it again.  In the end, I honestly don't think I have successfully helped anybody with anything.  I'll keep trying though.  Wink

Jonny,

Things are done just a little bit different here in the south.

Most times people who stop to help are real polite.  Helping our neighbors is commonplace down here.

I brought a wonderful, beautiful child into the world who makes me and my family smile every day.  He is the best kid in the world.
I work as a CSR for a health insurance company and help people understand those horrendous policies and occasionally pay a claim that wouldn't normally be paid with a "flick" of a button.
I love my family and friends with a fierceness that most people don't understand (you all are included in that) and for that I am the one who is blessed.

I would like to think that each day that I'm alive I have left the world a little bit of a better place. I sincerely try to make everything I do come from love. Odds are even pretty good that if you cut me off on the freeway I will yell "I love you, man!" It's much better than what I want to yell. I will let you get ahead of me in line, I will smile at all kids I see, and I will offer help wherever I can. I think it's our test here on earth. Do we get stuck in human limitations or do we stretch ourselves and let what we really are (divine love) show.

I don't know if the world is a better place or not because I'm here. Undecided

Not sure if this counts, but I sold my Blazer to a lady we know, where she could put a chunk of money down and then pay the rest off to us in payments.  It felt real good to see her all happy and smiley when she picked it up.  She felt like she had a brand new car, so to see her so happy, well it cemented my decision even further that I made the right choice.

That's about all I can think of.

I will be needing your phone number Redneck I've got a few little jobs for you...!

I think the world is a better place with me in it...
I was a teen MOM... giving birth to my kids has been my grandest accomplishment and now I have given them to my country.  Who knows who they will be someday... They aren't doing such a bad job thus far.......
Though I live simply, wear hand me downs and never finished college.........I have never regretted having my son, some people call it a choice.  To me the choice was made when he planted himself in my womb.

I love deeply.  If I love you, you know it.

  I am forgiving.  I don't have any enemies...(that I know of)

I'm a teacher and I assist parents that have to work.I have the most important job, that being raising  children. I do this safely, lovingly and with a big smile on my face.......... I think they are lucky to have me care for their kids.  I truly love and play with them all day. I don't stick them in front of a television. I look at things through their eyes all day.  I think like them when they are in my presence.  We sing, dance and go on safari's do crafts, listen to music, do fingerplays, have circle time. When I greet my daughters bus.  I hear the voices yelling "Ree ree" of kids I watched as toddlers... Im a folk hero to them... forever young.

I share and because of this God is good to me and I have never worried that I won't be cared for in this world.

I give a good haircut... lol   There would be a few people that would miss me if I wasnt on the planet... they would certainly be paying alot more for their haircuts..

Ok I think I have blown my own horn enough.  I love my life... and I like me.  There are days that I think of what coulda, shoulda, woulda... but then I remember there are no mistakes in life.......... Life is perfect.   love ree
