If I had one wish that I could wish this holiday season, it would be that all the children to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. If I had two wishes I could make this holiday season, the first would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing in the spirit of harmony and peace. And the second would be for 30 million dollars a month to be given to me, tax-free in a Swiss bank account. You know, if I had three wishes I could make this holiday season, the first, of course, would be for all the children of the world to get together and sing, the second would be for the 30 million dollars every month to me, and the third would be for encompassing power over every living being in the entire universe. And if I had four wishes that I could make this holiday season, the first would be the crap about the kids definitely, the second would be for the 30 million, the third would be for all the power, and the fourth would be to set aside one month each year to have an extended 31-day orgasm, to be brought out slowly by Rosanna Arquette and that model Paulina-somebody, I can't think of her name. Of course my lovely wife can come too and she's behind me one hundred percent here, I guarantee it. Wait a minute, maybe the sex thing should be the first wish, so if I made that the first wish, because it could all go boom tomorrow, then what do you got, y'know? No, no, the kids, the kids singing would be great, that would be nice. But wait a minute, who am I kidding? They're not going to be able to get all those kids together. I mean, the logistics of the thing is impossible, more trouble than it's worth! So -- we reorganize! Here we go. First, the sex thing. We go with that. Second, the money. No, we got with the power second, then the money. And then the kids. Oh wait, oh jeez, I forgot about revenge against my enemies! Okay, I need revenge against all my enemies, they should die like pigs in hell! That would be my fourth wish. And, of course, my fifth wish would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. Thank you everybody and Merry Christmas. LOL - That is my fave seasonal wish by Steve Martin. All I want for Christmas is to be painfree, oh and a recording contract. And my book to be finished. and... Peace, Carl D

I would LIKE a coffee table made from a formula one engine.. preferable a maclaren with a glass top- I'll settle for a glass of wine on top of my old coffee table! I would LIKE one of those really massive heavy duty springs from trucks or the like to make into a trophy stand on a lump of slate, (I'd like the slate too please!) - I'll settle for David polishing his own damn crap! I'd LIKE a big lump of meteorite or even better, a piece of moon rock - I'll settle for a stone my kids pick up for me in the park (Actually make that wish the other way around!) I'd LIKE a couple of trees for my garden - I'll settle for my dog not peeing on my patio chair legs. I'd LIKE a new book by Patricia Cornwall or Karin Slaughter or book six of Harry Potter. I'll settle for an hour in the bath with a pile of jokes from the Christmas crackers! I would LOVE one of those dirty great big range type cookers.. I'll settle for a promise of one day! I don't know what the heck I want for Christmas.. I have everything I want really. I'm crap at looking after jewellery so I wouldn't want my husband to waste his money buying that - Books I think would be my favourite choice unless i get inspired by you lot!

I would like a new stove. The one I have was a gift from hubbys grandma because her insurance covered a new one due to a kitchen fire. Only 2 burners are working. (try cooking Thanksgiving dinner on 2 burners like I have done the last 3 years) I would also like a new larger fridge, now that we have 4 people in our household, the one we bought from a guy who fixes appliances and sells them, is too small. (we might go back to see him again) The last thing I'd like, is a nice stereo, with a 5 disc cd changer and remote.

| Oh Mel.. I know how that feels! I had only one ring working on my cooker - if I tried to use another one I blew the whole house! Which I did last Christmas... but onwards and upwards! I had it fixed but its still old and it only has one oven and I love cooking so it would be a real treat to have a big one Good luck with trying to cook your dinner.. I had to use a steamer to sort my problems!

The continuing love and joy that my wife and daughter bring me make everyday seem like Christmas. I really don't know what more I could wish for. All I've ever wanted was a warm and loving family. I am content with what I've got. I wish I could be pain-free too, but I'm even accepting of that. For so many years, all I could think of was killing myself, and now... Life is just so good... For the first time in my entire life, I am at peace.

Now that was truly lovely, Frank. May you have continued happiness for all time. I feel kinda selfish and silly now for drooling over the jewelry, but I am a girl, that is my story and I'm sticking to it! Karen the selfish one

*singin, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend....* Okay: If I really really really wanted to wish: I want a Jeep CJ-6 Scrambler, with a V8 or a Hemi, (hell, I'll settle for diesel!), a 4" lift, lockers, and 33" Swampers. Really, I need to stop, though. I'm starting to drool on the keyboard. I'd also like to be a virtuoso pianist and a master craftsman woodworker. I'd also like Cameron Diaz wrapped up in a nice red, fluffy bow. I'd also like to have unlimited power, wealth, eternal youth, and eternally perfect health and vigor to go with it.
