Ran out of trex once...

This one cycle started out rough - didn't have a stockpile and got my 8 monthly vials.  Knew I was in trouble by the time I got the script filled and started early battle with my insurace for extra doses. Got my doc to arrange for a special 1-time override of an extra 8 vials but got stalled in the bureauocratic approval process with the insurance company. The horror of battling with the beast AND the insurance was about all I could stand...

Ran out within 4 days and just that morning the insurance said OK on the extra trex - OH YEAH!!.  Called the pharmacy and asked them to assemble the package stat.  Went straight over and wouldn't you know it, I got hit on the drive over - out of trex!  Stumbled into the pharmacy and got in line with a scorching eyeball.  Made it to the front of the line and the clerk said come back in an hour -- they were busy.  Not what I wanted to hear with a kip9 clawing the insides of my skull apart.  I started screaming every obsenity you could imagine and not so politely offered to go back and help them fill my order while I had I foot on the counter ready to lunge.

Guess what?  Go my trex that minute and shot it right there in the pharmacy waiting seat.  Everyone got to admire the subtle diplomacy involved in negotiating with a clusterhead in the heat of battle and appreciate the importance of filling a CH prescription BEFORE THE PATIENT ARRIVES AT THE PHARMACY!!!!!

Sorry about all that  Undecided

I begin to panic when I get down to 3 injections. I'm on the phone calling doctors to get re-supplied ASAP. I've went through the pain with no Trex many times (a long time ago) ... I don't want to do that again !

I know the feeling, i got only two shots left. 9 more days before i see a doc. I think i'll go to the pharmacy and ask an advance. Docs over here (only neuro's) can prescribe per month or per year, i hope he's going for a year now.

Oh Ronny that isn't fair! At least I can get my prescription filled whenever I want and I don't need ot see the doctor - he has put it on repeat for me (bless him) I'm still going to take the advice here and stockpile though (if I ever get out of this cycle!) as sadly you never know when things will change.

It was sad. I had to give myself a Trex shot at my therapists office last Thursday. What is even more sad is, it was my last cartridge.
The bad news is, I am out of Trex.
The good news is, I don't have a gun - or I would have given myself another type of shot this morning.

For those of you episodics out there - even when you are out of cycle - get those refills. You never know when you will get hit with a surprise cycle, or take the unfortunate turn of becoming chronic.

Peace,
Carl D
