So I get back from lunch yesterday and I have just signed back into the phone and get a call from the principal. Colin not only punched 1 kid in the eye but 2! Lord have Mercy, this child is going to be the death of me! Last year he got suspended - from KINDERGARTEN - for pulling his pants down. He was told to pull his pants back up, but instead thought he would pull his shirt up and wag "it" around a bit instead. Now tell me, doesn't this sound like a future President to you? I wonder if Hirv would like to trade children.

Kindergarten ya say. Yep, my initials are etched into the corner where I stood daily. As a corner dweller, you can practice how many tiles it takes to go across the back of the room and compare it to how many cinderblocks. Nine inch tiles and twelve inch cinderblocks make for difficult calculating as to how many tiles it would take to reach the ceiling. When you're in kindergarten jail, you have plenty of time. I noticed painting cinderblocks takes a lot of paint to fill the holes. Some weren't filled and the holes could be counted. I was never asked for a full report on my findings. No big deal though, my class graduation picture has me standing with the rest of the class, though the ominous corner right behind me. I guess my point being, forty years later I straightened out, so things have a way of working out. Kevin M

Colin, Colin, Colin... (nani shaking her head)... Let's practice ways to resolve conflict in a more positive way... USE YOUR WORDS and NOT YOUR FISTS... IF YOU NEED TO PUNCH SOMETHING- AVOID YOUR LITTLE FRIENDS FACES AND PUNCH SOMETHING SOFT AND NOT ALIVE (a pillow?, the couch?). If you need to wag your little "it" around- do it to Daddy - they think it's funny...Remember honey- you don't want to grow up to be anti-social like Uncle Jonny...

| The complete list of names to end that sentence would require its own thread, however if the kid could compile over 11,000 posted gems, I'd have to argue otherwise. Kevin M

As a granny, I think it's funny as hell.... Mine (grandchild -age 3) got up at dayschool and pulled his pants down, peed on the floor, pulled his pants up and told them with a straight face, "I'm done now!" I'm still laughing about that one. As Kip says, don't sweat the small stuff -- this will be a great memory some day to throw up to him when he has kids..... Hugs BD

I agree with Barb - as Grandmas we do tend to chuckle about some of this stuff. Grandchildren, after all are our best revenge!!! Our eldest grandson (12) has always had a ton of problems in school both behavioural and from a learning standpoint. He would never speak up for himself until the day he'd had enough and yelled at another kid to F**k Off! Course, the principal was standing right behind him - he got a 3 day suspension and when his Mom phoned to tell me - I laughed. Not because he got in trouble I was actually delighted that he'd finally decided to speak up. Granted, he coud have chosen words more appropriate, but now and again those seem to be the two words most suited to the problem. Hang in there with your little guy Karen. I promise one day you'll look back and think that wasn't so bad after all - and you'll have a laugh about it then.
