Wish me luck please everyone - I need it!
I'm leaving here at 5am to drive to Wales with my husband for a Children in Need event.
It's an annual thing here the whole country takes part in, massive telethon all day and night to raise money for children in need (duh!) both home and abroad.
We will be giving hovercraft rides, at least David will as i'm the event director (posh way of saying stupid cow who will get blamed for whatever goes wrong)
We start giving rides from 10am until 4:30 pm and then a 5 hour drive home.
It is bloody freezing here, its snowing and there is already a white blanket all over my lawn and I can't find my thermals!
At least the car is packed, the O2 is ready to go in and I have my imi ready in my handbag! 
I was so naive when planning this in September.. I had no idea I'd still be getting hit now! Live and learn eh?!
Redd I will SO need something really hot to warm me up when I get home... please please please!!
Oh and someone find Vig please.. he is AWOL!

You'll have to ask one of the Brits to explain "slap and tickle". I'm much too innocent and shy to lay it out for ya...
You might want to get them to explain snogging to you as well. Snogging and a bit of slap and tickle is what kept me in Lancashire for several weeks longer than I had planned. Oh, British university girls... Sigh...

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts, they certainly helped me with my first hurdle.. getting out of my pit at 5am. Nuff said, its not a pleasant thought to inflict on you lot!
Happily I found my fluorescent pink thermals so I tucked them into my knee length red, yellow and purple stripey socks and Hirv, no one could get a bit of slap and tickle going on in that outfit!! ( I did have more layers on top, didn't want to frighten any kids)
Slap and tickle is another way of saying getting your oats if that helps! Or if you want to be really graphic, hiding the sausage! ( Hirv you are a little bugger and I bet you know every british euphemism going don't you?! ) Oh and snogging is kissing, tonsil tennis sort of kissing at that!
It was -2C with a persistant but mild wind all day so it was very cold but the sun was out so it was okay!
We raised loads of money for Children in Need, about £600 (at £1 a ride) so that was great and the best bit was seeing the smiles on the faces of the kiddies after having a ride, made being freezing cold VERY worthwhile I can tell you.
We still have snow on the ground here but thankfully it is starting to melt and I'm hoping the temp will rise, I was born to sip cocktails on a beach NOT freeze my butt off 
Thanks for letting me know about Vig! I'll stop fretting!

What a wonderful person you are Helen! I am so glad it went well with the fundraiser and prep yourself for our little fundraiser here. Nobody will be able to call you a "stupid cow" when we get done losing our weight and are pretty little supermommies!
