This is the second time i have been to this west campus when i have been hurting badly from no patch for few days but i have never been this long without my patch one time i went to east campus ER because my dad was in hospital there for heart problems and they gave me into an IV in my hand #1 5mg diazapam(valium) for anxeity, #2 50mg benadryl to make me drowsy and #3 5mg Haldol depresses the hypothalamus aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no wonder i dont ever want to go back there that crap made me feel worse in the headache deptment. ok i am done for now any good vibes to me to help me get this damn CH back under control will be helpfull and i will post when i get my health back on track and i mean no disrepect to anyone in the service or currently working in the VA except for that on guy ok pfdan to all Terry

Terry, I'm sorry you're heaving such a hard time getting your meds through the VA. They can be mighty slow sometimes. Keep your chin up. This will pass. See you in Davenport.

I gotta say you maintain a pretty healthy outlook considering you are in pain and detoxing from opiates. I would file a complaint about the order guy. Kind of ironic that a vet is allowed to detox from opiates and endure pain because it Veterans Day and you cant get your meds. Is the patch just for CH? Hope you catch the NASCAR race there buddy.

Thank you all for the vibes still no pain patchs. It is now 11/17/04 11:15 pm and I have just gotten my last shot of 10mg morphine thanks to my neuro. He says that I wont need to be in hospital when I finally get my pain patches BUT to not be alone so someone can check on my breathing so that it doesnt get too shallow. My 18 year old son has already said he stay all day plus my best friend Dave will also be in my house at night because my wife works 3rd shift. I called the VA clinic which is only 15 minutes in the next town BUT no return call. I called the postal station where our mail comes from and they checked and even called our mail carrior on her cell phone BUT no meds. I finally called the VA hospital 55 miles away in Iowa City and the pharmacy nurse said they just got the DR order to fill it BUT heres the damn SOB F___KING shitty thing. They cannot send it out or even let me go get my meds til a carrier brings them the hard copy of the DR signature which I was told today maybe tomorrow or Friday. Ok enough typing need to go and try to get sleep without nightmares morphine kicking good head dull right eye no see too blurry. Thanks again all for vibes and letting me vent. I hope to see most of you all in my town in January. Terry BTW i do the O2 thing too always have two full tanks at home and in January 2005 at DAVCON05 any one that needs it is welcome. Plus I do have extra unopened masks too lol. oh i almost forgot see nani i can write good sometimes Ü

Well everyone I finally am OK. After 8 days without my pain patch almost fully detoxed on my own I drove 110 miles round trip (without anyone knowing til i got back) to the VA Hospital and got my pain patchs and good news is I didnt feel any bad side effects when patch kicked in in 20 hours I feel just like I hadnt been without and I will never ever ever never will go thur that again I will order them well ahead of time and follow up every other day to make sure that the VA clinic guy in town dont mess up again. So thanks all for vibes and hope to see most of you all in Jan. 05 and to nani no problem teacher Ü pfdan to all Terry

I am Dave,Terrys best friend. I read his post and I started shaking. I think the guy from the VA needs to be repremanded. If he were to actually see what Terry has gone through he might pick the plow up and act a little faster. The first time I actually saw the effects of a CH with Terry I just about lost it. He was curled up in a ball on his bed whimpering. I just about cryed. I guess some people just don't understand what CH sufferers go through. I am there for him any time he needs somone.
