Life Before CH.Com

I was just thinking this morning how my life has changed sense finding this site. I remeber going through many cycles feeling depressed alone and with no meds that helped and no one to talk to that understood my problem. Many times the only thing that kept me from blowing my head off was trying to concentrate on the fact that in time this will go away for a while. This past cycle was longest one I have had in my 36 years of defending myslef against the beast. I can honestly say that I don't no if I would have made it through this cycle without this site. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and soul. Ruth

Glad to hear you're finding some comfort here, Ruth. I find the same thing here, but I also find a great many ways to laugh, comfort in comforting others and a group of people who really "get it". It really is a family in so many ways...

Well over 20 years chronic and alone before I found this place (14 of which was with no meds)......This is why I am here everyday, I said in my very first post five years ago that I would never leave and that was an understatement.....LMAO I not only met some people that know my pain here, I added a whole family to my life. I have been thinking about the same thing, Ruth. CH.com has helped me a lot. And I do sometimes think that what my life was without coming here ever so often... it would be weird.

I was extremely close to killing myself last year when I went through it with no meds. That was my worst cycle until this year and this has been a whopper. I am coming to the end of it so THANK GOD for that. This site has been my lifeline. There a couple of people that have really helped me through and I am so grateful to them, but just coming in and reading and replying takes my mind off things. I LOVE (fierce and strong!) my new family and you guys are STUCK with me! Nah, nah, nah boo-boo! Karen BTW - once again we have lapsed into sex talk....I give up. *shaking my head (and boo-tay) and walking away.

Glad you DID find us, Ruth! And I know for a fact that I would be pushing up daiseys now if I had not found this site. I had set the date and the method, and three days before I was to do the deed, I happened to google CH, and found this site. The rest is history. I know that the past 17 months have been the worst in my 26 years of fighting the beast. Without this place there is no way I could have managed it. I still don't know how I have. Do I still think seriously of ending it? You better believe it! On a really bad series of days, I have to fight hard not to give in to the VERY strong desire to end it. But I just get on here and read, I may not post, but just reading settles me down. Thank you family. And MOSTLY, Thank you Deej!!! Chuck

Chuck, i can relate to your feeling, sometimes i'm so fed up with this life, i'm ready to move on to the next. But i have to be strong for my family, and i'm to much of a chicken. Let's just say: " I'm very happy this board exists" Ronny.

Well said, everyone. Thank you, DJ. Before I found this place, I didn't know WTF was wrong with me, and I was truly on the verge of killing myself. I can't say that I am ever far away from thoughts of suicide, but the cluster headache aspect is, at least, manageable, thanks to ch.com. -Frank P.S. Don gargles.
