Well I am between my wonderful headaches and feeling drained. While between them I got to thinking about my future. What I was thinking was I wonder how many Stroke (cva, or tia) patients suffered from Cluster Headaches? Just something I have wondered. Would love to hear other peoples thoughts on this.  Huh

My ex had a stroke but no CH - does that help?

He only gets headaches when I have one and then I think it's just to get attention - yeah right (I'm in to giving attention to a hypochondriac when I'm in the middle of a headache!)

anyhow, don't see any relation to stroke and CH.

No, I don't think there is any relationship between the two.
I think if you have a stroke and had no prior problems with blood pressure, then perhaps it was or could be caused by a reaction to meds.
Just my thoughts

Your missing my point here folks. I am not saying that I am going to have a stroke. The point is I wonder of how many people who have strokes in there old years had a history of CH in there younger days. For that matter how many people who have suffered from a cerebral anyuerism had a prior history of CH in thier past.

As far as I am aware, there has been no connection found between strokes and CH

BUT

there IS a direct causal link between certain types of migraine and stroke,  and my personal belief is that migraine and Ch are more closely related than people may want to believe and there are often confused and overlapping symptoms in many sufferers.

This makes it even more important that neuro's get their diagnostic act together when treating patients with unilateral headaches.

Just my opinion as always Grin
