My precious daughter wrote us all a poem:
11/14/03 <---yep, a year ago. Its titled:
"Headache"
I think I ate a rose-
a succulant red rose!
In full bloom, sprinkled with the morning dew.
I think I ate a rose-
it went up to my brain,
and through my eyes, its beauty all I see.
I think I ate a rose-
for now I'm seeing red
the blood left from the plant
murderously bled.
I think I ate a rose-
but the stem is hard to chew
and now its clear to me
that there are thorns stuck in my head.
