A word of thanks

Many thanks to all for the great thread of B-Day wishes. The day was a success, spent with family and friends. The evening rose to greet me spinning visions in my mind as an 'alternative treatment' was in order. I had the distinct privilege of sharing this experience with one of the doctors involved in the CB, LSD/Psilocybin study. Breaking bread, engaging in conversation, and listening to specially-chosen music, I was lead to a new height of inner-understanding and enjoyment. Many thanks doc. Peace to my Clusterville family, -dan

Dan, Glad you had a nice birthday. Everyone deserves to have their b-day go right and be an enjoyable day. I'm not sure I quite understand what you are saying about the CB LSD/Psil doctor. Are you saying the doctor was tripping/feeling good/ whatever along with you or that he guided/assisted you in enjoying your moment or something else? Hope you don't take this wrong, it's one of those sentances that you can read in a number of different ways. Thanks and Happy B-Day again. Bob

Belated Happy Birthday, Dan! Glad to hear you had a good night. I'm confused though - (yeah, I know it doesn't take much).... you say you felt the need to explore the alternative treatment again. Are you back in cycle then? I thought I had read somewhere that you were in remission. Is the doctor a clusterhead, too? Sorry - no offense intended but I didn't really understand your post either.

| Bob, I'm sure you are very concerned. Let me put your mind at ease (even though it really is none of your business). "I" doesd and the doctory guided me through the process providing insight and guidance. Edited to educate and not berate. I dose along with a fellow ClusterHead. Sat. the 6th was set as our scheduled monthly maintenance dose. It just so happened that the Doc was in town for another purpose that weekend and stopped by to visit and discuss the protocol for the study. We [fellow ClusterHead and myself] dose in a usual setting of the back deck with music playing, good food and drink. The Doc assisted by explaining and demonstrating how specially-picked instrumental music is preferred to music with lyrics. He also suggested that we ‘not’ consume alcohol while dosing. My ClusterBud always runs into anxiety during a dosing period and the Doc was able to talk him through this phase, and put his mind at ease. As for me, I listened to a specially-chosen CD the Doc provided and listened to his wisdom and direction. The experience was one of complete enjoyment and enlightenment. It also provided a glimpse into what the setting and experience will be like when we actually start the clinical trials. Quote:you say you felt the need to explore the alternative treatment again. | No Margi, the doctor does not suffer from CH and he did not partake. Yes I am in between cycles at the moment. This was a scheduled maintance does to prevent my next cycle from starting. Hope that helps.

Dan.....glad your birthday was good. I am certain if some people actually KNEW you, they would know, as I do, that there is NOTHING recreational about your alternative....just blessed PF. But, that's no fun, is it? Sheesh..........suspect everyone gang......convict the innocent... Dan, you go man!! Keep the beast at bay.........you make me very proud......and you are never judgemental, either. To each his own....... My best for a PF joyous year!!! Cathi

Thanks for the added info Dan. Like your friend, I too experience anxiety when dosing. Next time I'll try some smooth jazz instead of "Dark Side of the Moon" which can be a little harsh at times. Appreciate it.

WTF Cathi? Did I suggest that his dose was recreational? Show me where I did that. I have a genuine concern for any and all clusterheads going back into cycle and I was worried that by Dan having to dose again, that's what his post meant. Living with and being married to a clusterhead, I have experienced first hand the launch of a repeat cluster cycle and I know that is a fear for real supporters everywhere, Cathi. I'm understand and accept the fact that you can't relate to that fear. You have no point of reference. Dan, I apologize for the degradation that has evolved from this thread. I'm glad to hear that your preventative dose was a success and I think it's pretty amazing to find a doctor that is obviously so educated about this treatment. Now, Cathi....read this post one more time before you respond. Dan's first post was confusing. Questions were asked and subsequently answered. There was no need for YOUR judgmental critique.

NP at all Margi. I appreciate the concern and I do apologize for such a vague, first post. I should have explained the process in the first post...one of my downfalls....email and posting. I rarley manage to come across clearly. All is well and no ill-will meant or taken... Peace to all in Clusterville, -dan
