No need to fret boys and girls, the most respected clairvoyant of the past 200 years had this to transfer from who/what ever doles out the goodies:

"All illness is sin." This is not necessarily sin committed conciously in the present life, but sin expressing itself as illness because it has not yet been expiated by the soul.

Karma, the abacus of which the gains and losses of the soul are scored from life to life, is often wrongly and unjustly confused with retribution.

Since I have little understanding of things not reconciled with mental tools, I leave it to those of faith, particularly those who ascribe to reincarnation, to make sense of the above.

For the record, Edgar Cayce has some of the most incredible, well documented 'readings' and indeed the trance-like delivery is fraught with information (dare I say) no mere mortal should have access to. I believe there is a 20,000 strong society (A.R.E. Association of Research and Enlightenment) that follow and study the documented cases of this man, an enigma for sure.

Certainly it seems 'unfair' that we should have to suffer for the deeds of, um, our past selves, but it does seem to allow for meaning in the misery.

I am a practicing buddhist who does not believe in reincarnation or karma.   Can you believe that shit?   You can't trust anybody anymore.  All I know is that my fingers are lightly tapping on the keys of my keyboard, and I smell a good meal cooking.

I have always believed that everything we experience in our lifetime is a result of our "higher" spiritual essence. We choose our circumstances in order to evolve. Every great joy and each and every trial...

When I'm feeling bad, I am sometimes tempted to think "why me?". And then I remember...why not me? I apparently have something to learn-let's get on with the lesson. It's not a tit for tat deal- it's about the learning and evolving.

My kids have a book written by Neal Walsh, of the Conversations With God books. Two little souls are discussing their next lifetimes. One soul says "When I go back I want to learn forgiveness. I really want to have to struggle with it so I can really understand it."  The other soul responds"OK then I will go with you and I will do something so horrible to you that if you can forgive me you will have really understood forgiveness." "You would do that for me! Why?" "Because I love you!" "There's just one thing I ask in return... when I am in the midst of doing the horrible thing to you, I need you to remind me who I really am."

I like the Christian Science Monitor newspaper, but I'll pass on their doctrine "illness = sin."  I have used some Cayce meditation and relaxation tapes, which were good.  Cayce's ideas on Atlantis?  Another pass.

Who cares what a crank like Cayce said or wrote? If Cayce's picture were at the top of the page on things on which to waste your time, it would be fitting. What a goof.

Cheesus, Chaz. Quit holding it in. Tell us what you _really_ think.
If reincarnation truly exists, then I'll be coming back as a ROCK.
