Hi - I need some help from the family...

Hi, Long time no write, I know. I'm really worried about my Clusterhead, Ken. He hasn't been sleeping well, he seems full of all sorts of emotions - and even though he hasn't been sleeping well, that's really not out of the norm for him. He never sleeps. But this morning (he didn't go to work today), he didn't wake me up to get the kids ready for school, laid on the couch, snuggled up with blankets and is sleeping. That's not like him at all. I'm really worried, and I don't know what to do or expect or how to help him. We are all dealing with so many emotions - Ken, the kids, myself. I just don't know what to do. I'm scared for him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks family. We love you guys. Toni

Toni, What's he taking? The meds could be causing the forgetfulness. As to the sleeping - has he tried Melatonin at night. It will get me thru a few hours of sleep. Don't know what else to tell you - Hope things get better soon. Hugs BD

Hi Toni- It could depend on the meds he's taking. I sometimes have times where I sleep like "the dead". And forgetfulness is a side effect of the Neurontin I take as a prevent. Maybe you should call his doc? Best wishes...

Ditto on the "check his meds" advice. Always a good idea to consult with a doctor when in doubt. The best to you. Hirvimaki-Isi

Could be the meds....Could be lack of sleep...........Could be the first signs of clinical depression. Ask him.

Sorry if I didn't quite explain myself here. (Thank you Carol) - but Kens' suffering from the loss of his son this past Friday. He's having trouble sleeping because of that, not the meds. Sorry! Toni

I'm sorry Toni, I didn't make the connection. Because of your recent loss, I'd have to go with clinical depression (not that I'm a dr or anything). When I get depressed it really messes with my sleep patterns and I forget a lot, too. Have him see his doc about it, there are good anti-deppresants out there.

Toni dear, To be honest with you....It has only been 3 days (if I read correctly) since the loss of your child. This is really not anything out of the ordinary considering that. If this were to still be occurring down the road (several months) then you might consider being worried and seeking help for him. For now just be there for eachother. Grieving takes many forms and we all do it a little differently. Warmest regards, Eric
