OUCH Racing......results

Well......I wish I had good news....but I don't. A massive crash on the 3rd lap ended our season, and about 10 other teams about 97 laps early. While it was no fault of ours, and nothing we could have done to prevent it, it still sucks to end the season on a down note. Here are some pics from earlier in the day....before our race started. As the late afternoon sun casts long shadows across the track, the top three cars in the "last chance qualifying race" race for the lead..... CH.com's favorite photographer (Vig) stands a top the pit wall watching teams prepare for the main event... The on track autograph session.... Our driver (middle) chats with a fan as our scorer Tabitha looks on.... Just incase you have ever wondered what race cars looked like 40-50 years ago, here is a shot of antique racer...they had race for them this weekend....

It was a great day until the third lap. Fate is a mf'er sometimes. The cars look muCH smaller up close... (note to self... find pants that fit.)

I think we should all get together and do a movie..."Night of The Clusterheads". George Romero would have nothing on us!!!

Thanks for the pics Paul. Bill, your team has great potential. Circumstances what they can be sometimes though... it can get a bit crowded on those early laps. Big season next year. Hey Paul, I had a little racer like that when I was small. My parents never told me there was a whole circuit going on for racing with them. I should have had a number painted on the side of it and painted "grandma" on the back as a sponsor. Pedals to the metal.

What a shame about the crash...Bill there is always next year....the potential is there as Kevin said. Being one thats never been a big race fan, I do have a favorite car..... Paul, You look so serious on that pit wall. It's nice to see you again...and not just your shoe... Love you both and better luck next season!

Pegg, What? me serious? just bummed that I had to wear long pants for the first time since MarCH... Kevin, most of those were Bill's. He just got a new camera and he pulled it out and played with it at the track. anyway, It was a great day before the wipeout. This time there were people from all over the eastern United States, not just the south. The crash took out most of the southerners.... course it was started by a southerner too, so there. The low point of the evening. That's the wrecker towing off the OuCH car. The fates would not let me take any picture of the wrecked car. The camera refused to click when I pointed it at it. This is driver Jay Hedgecock signing autographs (with the blue shirt and grey hat.) Lots of really cool cars were racing.
