Advice for Flying?????

Hi all, I'd like to pick your brains...... In 17 days I'll be flying to Aruba for my honeymoon.... Got letters of necessity for traveling with my syringes and to get an O2 tank on flight and on the island.... Do any of you have any "tricks" for flying. Not nervous at all about getting hitched but am nervous of the change in pressure due to flying and afraid of screwing with the noggin. Though not getting slammed nearly as much (hooray) I'm still doing the fox-trot and I was just wondering what y'all have done when/if flying during cycle? Thanks a million and hugs to all!!! Eric

I've flown approximately 3 million miles (not a misprint) and I have stopped worrying about it. Never been asked about my needles, ever. Never been hit on a plane, ever. In fact, I'll be flying today from Boston to Oakland. -Shawn

"My advice to you, Mr. Blutarsky, is to start drinking heavily." Seriously, relax. Have a few drinks if your head will allow it. If not, so what. Have meds with you if you need them. Make sure you have the Rx, too. Me, I fly on a few beers and a Valium. Any "plans" for Aruba? TomM

Thanks guys, I kinda figured to just deal as I do in everyday life...not questioning anymore the nature of these things. Couldn't hurt to ask though. As far as "plans" go... If I'm catching your drift not sure b/c the little lady is still quite hesitant and I honestly can't see that occurring while on my honeymoon unless she took part too lol. Just hoping to enjoy cocktails of booze or beer and not just meds Thanks again! E.

Have flown numerous times. Always have imitrex kit in the carry on. Have never been questioned and have never been hit during a flight.

That's not the plans to which I was referring. More along the line of watch a few sunsets, maybe stay up for a sunrise, and enjoy each others company. BTW--I have been hit while flying. Thank GlaxoSmithKline for Imitrex Nasal!

| Well then yes Tom we certainly have those plans .......Sunsets, company and everything else that comes with being in love AWEEEE I'm actually psyched and do feel a lot better just hearing from you guys. Thanks again. I obviously thought a reference to some taking trips to the islands to get certain fungal relief. OOPS. Eric

The instructions I recieved for learning to fly were from an Alaskan Bush Pilot "Just throw yourself at the ground until you miss." Other than that sit back with your favorite beverage and relax. Been working for me for 40 some odd years of flying. YMMV

Well, it's easy, but complex to explain, John. It's actually like flying a sailboat. LOL

I have to agree...never have been hasseled about trex. They never even looked twice. Keep your trex in a ziplock, it helps if they do take it out and keeps it all in one place. Second trick I just learned this summer, was to take nicotine gum with, I'm a smoker. This took all the edge off of flying for me. Just my .02. T

Eric, The Netherlands Antilles and Aruba have a form of socialized medecine which makes it very easy for the local population but a bit tricky for visitors. I would get the O2 sorted out before you are in need. The hotel can probably find a doc. for U that will give you a script. U should be able to see one right away if U need to. Probably cost you about $35.00 for the visit. I wouldn't bother looking for the fungi. Climate is to dry and you don't want to be asking around for it. Have Fun and congrats.

Yes. Congratulations Eric. No fear of flying here. Change of pressure never was a problem for me and I flew much more back then. Have great time. Charlie
