Precisely why I think Senator Kerry should be in jail, rather than running for the presidency. I've been trying my best to stay out of politics, but after seeing this video, I am sick at heart to think that he may become Commander In Chief of our honorable soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen:

You are going to open up a can of worms with the start of this thread, that I cant be present for... I'll see you guys after the election.  Every time I hear the horrors of war my stomach gets ripped apart and I cannot eat.  I cannot sleep.  I went through it then with my brother. Im going through it now with my kids. Those things did happen if you dont know that well you are naive.  Those things are happening now. Only now We are having our heads cut off.  Its sad that we ever have to be at war.
Have a great night ~~~ God bless the USA    ree

What a harrowing video. So much is owed by all of us to so few. The hardest part to accept is that soldiers who served there were vilified for doing so.. those lucky enough to come back. Cry

Atrocities in war have been going on since the first war. To believe that everyone can live under the conditions of war without snapping is indeed very naive. Just like there are bad cops, there are bad soldiers. How many of us could live under those conditions day in and day out.... thank God most hold on to their humanity. John Kerry was not the only Vietnam vet who spoke out against the war and the atrocities. And how dare we minimize ANY OF THEIR personal sacrifices in going, because they chose to tell the truth. Has anyone heard of the organization Vets for Peace? Wise men indeed. They would know.

How do you know they were telling the "truth"?  Of all the guys that went over, these so called "Wise Men" are about 1-2% of the total.  Would you believe 1-2% of the people who said they cured CH?  No, they get flamed big time.  If Bush beats Kerry by 1-2%, you would call it a scham.  Sheesh...

Fantastic documentary! Long but well worth the time to watch! Thanks Frank! Anyone who can watch that and still vote for Kerry, is not anyone I wish to associate with.

dude, he's not voting- he's posting an opinion on a message board of his fellow clusterheads.    And frankly, Canada are our friends right now- let's not be jerks to them.  Thanks.

BTW, our election matters very much to most of the world.    That's what happens when you are the last super power, our countries fate effects the fate of everybody.  I feel very fortunate to be able to vote and certain sense of responsibility to respectfully listen to the folks from other countries.  Maybe I am nuts I don't know.  Let me have it, I don't care.

That's why it said..."All fun intended...."  Pegase and I have had many political debates before on here...he knows where I stand, I know where he stands...If he is offended, then I will appologize.  Unfortunately for me, most of the people on here stand on his side of the asile.  Don't understand it, but respect it.  When it is all said and done, this country(and Canadian posters  Grin) will still have to live and work together.  How that is going to happen is way beyond me, because the hatred for the sitting President is so deeply engrained.  Don't remember people actually hating Clinton, I didn't like him, but I still respected the office.  Doesn't seem to be the case now, since there was a book or article or something called, "How to assinate Bush".  There was no outcry from the Left to denounce this piece of crap, er, I mean work.  Don't understand it.   Huh

Tom - have you fought in a war? If you have-then I will give you all due credit.  BTW- I did not say anything about the election or Kerry the candidate. I referred to Vietnam vets who came back and renounced the war and it's atrocities. I believe there is also a group of Iraq war vets doing the same thing right now. War is hell, bro. And there were thousands of them. And they were all correct in doing so.
At least Kerry was trying to stop that fuckin' mess. What were the "official" negotiators doing? For 3 days Kissinger cried and whined because the table was oval shaped and he wanted a rectangular table so he could sit at the head. During those 3 days of stalling, over 1000 American soldiers, sailors and marines died.
George Bush escaped the draft to avoid Vietnam service. Instead he went AWOL from The Texas National Guard. Someone else had to fill the spot that Bush ran from. Maybe if Bush had done his honorable duty there would be one different name on The Wall.

Since the spin on Kerry and Stolen Honor website was put up here, just to be fair, how about the website for Michael Moore's documentary?

Hi Bob!

No matter what side you're on, to be really fair, Moore's piece can't be called a documentary. (Not that most of the political video’s are either)

I firmly believe in healthy discussion and even level headed arguments, but Moore’s purpose is strictly self serving - to promote himself.

I wasn't over there, too young.  I didn't get in the service, having a CH in the recruiting office may have had something to do with it.  My father was in Nam, as well as my uncle and a cousin.  My cousin didn't return.  Had a nephew in DS, came back just fine.  Have a neice in Iraq.  Funny, all the crap being said about how the troops are being treated, is pretty much bullshit.  While my father was in Nam, 2 tours, he didn't see any of the crap Kerry or the other "Vets for Peace, talked about.  Since he was at the front for most of his tours, I kinda take that over what others say.
Go back and reread what I said about Kerry and Bush.  It wasn't about the election other than the fact that if it was decided by 1-2% there would be an outcry.  1-2% of anything isn't a lot.  Not enough to judge a whole war on.  That was my point!
