Fabulous (brief) Political Commentary

This from Vox Day--A Christian Libertarian. Here's the whole article if you like at www.wnd.com (click on Vox) If America is a car headed for a cliff, a vote for John Kerry is like stepping on the gas, while voting for George Bush can be best equated with leaving it on cruise control. However, if you are at all concerned with the long-term direction of this country, I strongly suggest pulling on the emergency brake by voting for one of the two men who are genuinely committed to reclaiming America's stolen birthright, Michael Badnarik of the Libertarian Party or Michael Peroutka of the Constitution Party. Neither man will win tomorrow's election. But at least you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are not a willing accomplice in the ongoing bipartisan destruction of your country.

I have never been so torn as I have been in this election. Although I consider myself a 'dyed in the wool' libertarian, I also feel that this is probably "the most important presidential election" that I have witnessed in my lifetime. To use the analogy put forth, if I vote my concience and grab the emergency brake and it doesn't do anything to stop the car headed for the cliff, then I don't feel that I am making a responsible decision. Hitting the gas doesn't even come to mind. On the other hand, if I leave it in cruise control, at least there's a chance that somehow the car will be able to be brought under control before it runs off the cliff. I don't know what it's going to take to stop "the ongoing bipartisan destruction of our country", but one thing I am sure of- this election isn't it! I hope I'm wrong, but I'm afraid that after tomorrow- it'll be president-elect Kerry to run a country going to hell in a hand basket! It'll all come down to turn-out. My two cents.... ...........alley

About 24 hours from now a very important event will happen. Or not happen. The phone will stop ringing. All those obnoxious recorded political messages will cease to happen.

Soon I can stop turning off the phone around 6. That will be a pleasure. I'm not a big Kerry lover, just a Bush hater. John Ashcroft alone is enough reason to feel this way. Charlie
