Who has done this?

A long time ago, shortly after I went chronic, a friend let me borrow his blood pressure kit. One day I went into a CH attack and threw the cuff on my arm. I took my BP during the attack and noticed during the attack my BP elevated while my pulse slowed down. It was like the blood pumped harder, but not faster. Anyone else taken their BP during a CH? Just wondering whom else might have the same results, and what it may mean. I just remembered that the other day and wanted to post it.

Do you have a BP kit? Have you tried this?
Lemme know.

Peace,

Blood pressure is the only relevant way to messure pain.

The more intense the pain, the higher the blood pressure. This also occurs when viewing a half naked Norwiegan blonde in thigh highs

Not sure about the correlation.

When I got hit with a K9 in the car the other day, I stopped at the local fire dept for oxygen. When the paramedic took my BP mid attack it was 170/100. I asked him to try it again after it stopped - it was 165/100. I ended up in the ER and they were monitoring my BP as I continued to get hit every 20 mins or so. Each hit caused a significant spike in my BP. I can't say i respond the same way to norwiegan blondes.... Johnny Depp, maybe.

I was hooked up to a vitals monitoring setup during an attack once upon a time. My BP was 190/115 and my pulse was 35. I thought that pretty unusuall.  confused2

The board moves so fast these days that I missed this one.  Same here - BP spikes up, pulse drops in order to compensate.  Mine doesn't drop as far as Kirk's  Shocked, but more like 48-50.

I have been in the ER plenty of times with ch or migraine when they have taken my blood pressure.  Both ha types will cause my blood pressure to raise dramatically like mentioned in previous posts.  I have been given morphine and other drugs to lower my bp while they work on the ha.  They said a high bp is associated to high pain levels and were not suprised by it.

When I was in the neurologists office a few weeks ago, I was having a ch and when they took my bp, they said it was high.  They also said that is not unusual with pain. J
