Saw the Neuro...

Thursday. He tweeked my meds. Put me on time release Verapimil which will be nice not to have to remember to take it all the time. We discussed 02 but he forgot to give me the script. Showed me my MRI. Cool. Phwew! No brain tumor. I mentioned the Hypothalamus and he was adament that it has nothing to do with CH. He thinks it has to do with the brain stem. Mentioned the Imitrex tip to make meds last longer and he looked at me like I had 2 heads and kinda laughed and said "that's very resourceful of you, you're brave". This was only the second time I saw him and I'm not sure I like him, however, he did know how to treat the CH properly. I guess that's what really matters. I also wanted to mention that my computer is too slow to keep up with all the threads so I'm just being picky on which ones I post to til I can get a newer, faster, better computer. Hugs and PFDAN to all! Janet

The oxygen script would be a good thing to have. Don't hesitate to bring that up next time if the imitrex tip isn't enough to cover all the hits. See how it goes as the cycle progresses. Kevin M

One only needs to use the Trex tip if they cannot get Trex in vials. If you plan on taking less than a full dose, then just ask for the vials.

Strange that the doc doesn't think CH has anything to do with the hypothalamus, as all I have read linked from this site and OUCH's site talks directly about the hypothalamus as directly related to CH. Casey ps-Rock, I like the signature line. Very nice.

| I know there's not a LOT of researCH going on, but I'm pretty sure they got THAT part figured out already. I'd be looking for a new doctor. adamant or adumuss

This guy's education gets in his way. Clusterheads know more about CH than they do most of the time. We also know WTF we are doing when it comes to Trex. Damn neurologists live in a strange world. Good luck and maybe you can teach the twerp a thing or two. Probably not but there are others out there. Charlie
