WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 /U.S. Newswire/
79 Percent of Economists in an independent poll call Bush economic policies "Bad or Very Bad." In an informal poll of economists chosen at random from the American Economic Review, a prestigious economics journal, fewer than 20 percent gave positive ratings to his second term agenda. On fiscal discipline, 79 percent of economists favored Kerry while only 18 percent favored Bush. (Economist, 10/9/04)
368 Republican Economists Unable to Say Even One Positive Thing About George Bush's Economic Record or Plan. Today the Bush-Cheney campaign released a letter signed by 368 economists. The remarkable thing about the letter is that these Republican economists were unable to say a single positive thing about George Bush's economic record or his economic policy. Even Republican economists know that George Bush's tax cuts have not delivered on HIS promise to create six million new jobs, and that he is the first president in 72 years to lose jobs during his term.
10 Nobel Economists Endorse John Kerry; Call Bush Policies "Reckless and Extreme." Ten Nobel Prize winning economists endorsed John Kerry for President in an open letter to the American public on August 25, 2004. Their letter stated that Bush's economic policies "endangers the long-term economic health of our nation." And that "The differences between President Bush and John Kerry with respect to leadership on the economy are wider than in any other Presidential election in our experience." Our economy will continue to perish I am sad to say. Taxes are not the only tool utilized for "adjusting" the economy. Actually, I believe interest rates are the weapon of choice. Oh well, time to sell out of the stock market.

I didn't need an independent study to tell me that...used to work one job and got along great now working two full-time jobs & trying to constantly play catch-up.
My retirement has gone down the crapper in the short time the pubs have controlled Washington.
and yeah they're both idiots...but georgie is the King of Idiots & needs to go by by. If being an idiot stopped someone from becoming President...we would've been without a President since 1968.

I realize that the War Against Democrats is more important to some people than the War Against Terror, but Sun Tzu would not reccomend that people who don't understand the Middle East or Islam play "What would Osama Do." The idea is to understand the enemy, not to fabricate ideas about the enemy for domestic politics. There is no evidence that Al Qaeda wants Kerry elected, while there is evidence that Qaeda benefits from the unpopularity of Bush in the Middle East.

Read a couple days ago where this year's Nobel prize winner in Economics said that Bush's tax cut didn't go far enough. Should have been bigger.
Only in America, where the top 20% of wage earners pay 80% of the tax dollars, would the other 80% complain that the rich are getting all the breaks!

Just curious, not a taunt, How much of the total income is earned by the 20%? Is it 80%? Then it would be fair, right? Just asking.

I guess you did but George has carried stupid to new levels. Here he was stomping around Kabul looking for bin Laden. Just about a guaranteed re-election. Then he and his testosterone-soaked advisors told him how cool it would be to complete what daddy knew was a mistake 10 years before. Who gets blamed for this little slipup? You, me, Congress, Democrats, allies, Iraqi politicians...everybody but Bush has to take responsibility.

Those top 20% of taxpaying "patriots"are taxed on paper but not very successfully when they get their mail in Aruba.

Oh, I forgot how well ole Billy handled the situation. 
Yeah, it was probably a mistake to remove such a wonderful dictator from Iraq. We should have given him more time so he could develop his nuclear technology and invade another neighboring country. At least then we would have faced something challenging.
