Can we get a few people interested in attending a meeting? There's nothing like meeting a fellow clusterhead.......ask us.

We're about 170 miles away from each other.......and if we get a few others interested we can find the middle and all meet half way.......or come to Englewood which has great accomodations off season. Two bedroom, fully furnished condo's that sleep 6 for about $575.00 per week. With a great meeting room. And right on the ocean. Everyone's welcome.....we can have our meeting in privacy and than join the rest. We need a Florida Chapter meeting.....the paperworks already done. I'm Director and Andy Hathaway is Vice Director or whatever we end up calling our board members. Andy says he kind of likes the vice part tho.

It may help if you explain what the Florida Chapter is a chapter "of".

Why do I do that? Those who know me also know my shortcomings (which are so few) and love me anyway. I have a habit of starting things in the middle instead of the beginning. A chapter is a "local" group of OUCH members. Chapters are bound to the same bylaws as Headquarters, OUCH, but we have the benefit of working person to person in the flesh. So far we have chapters in California, New Jersey/Pennsylvania, Texas and Florida. Our reason for being is the same as our Headquarters. We just operate on a local level which is very beneficial to our cause as a whole. We plan to have scheduled meetings, fund raisers, efforts will be made to eventually have seminars and speakers with an audience of medical professionals. There will be advertising for the public and orientation meetings for new members. Plus the fellowship of clusterheads, family outings, etc. There's more, but this will give you an idea of what we hope will happen. The more chapters working at local levels, the sooner our word(s) get out. Any questions? PS.....we have a web site named OUCHFla reserved, but I haven't designed it yet. As soon as we schedule a meeting, I'll have something to announce on it. I'm off work now on sick leave, so I'll get to work on it and put some general info up. When my hard drive crashed a few months ago, I lost my FTP Client program.....gotta get another.

I would be interested in going to a gathering Donna. Don says Floridas not a peninsula but an island velcroed to Georgia. What do you think of that? LOL BarbaraG

I don't think it was velcro, Barb, I think it was a bunch of jonnys sheet metal tek screws that are rusting away and pretty soon we can use the oar crew to go where ever we want to go. Poor don doesn't even know where Florida IS so we'll have to send a couple of people to go fetch him. We'll take 3 of each animal, but forget the nasty Armadillos. Now, on a serious note.......... Who is interested in a meeting? Let me know and we can start making plans. Sounds like there are several of us now who are interested. This is good.
