Just DAMN!!!!!!!!!! (OUCH racing update)

Well folks......we just can't buy good luck. For this week's race, held at Concord Motorsports Park, we qualified 3rd and drew the 3rd starting position. So far so good. We led the race for a good while, then were passed for the lead on a restart around lap 90. The lead car's lap times were getting slower, while ours stayed consistant....it was only a matter of time until we passed him back.
Then........the rear end exploded with a shower of sparks, fire, and shrapnel.......totally distroying the rear end. This of course was the same rear end we had spent $900.00 on this week. Sheesh....
It appears this set back will cause us to miss next week's regular season ending race. The decision was made to sit this one out and focus our efforts and dwindling cash on the "North - South Shootout" to be held the first weekend in November at the same race track in Concord,NC. Our good run last night (until the rear end let go) has us hopeful that we can post a win at the year's biggest (and best paying) race.

O well...... You got the bad luck out of the way before the main event guys! Bummer about the rear end and the $900.00............
