Well here I sit, finally at my own pc, glass of Cutty in hand. We FINALLY got power sometime Friday night and it's soooo nice to watch toilets flush without having to truck in water in gallon jugs to initiate the process. The A/C is humming away, my clothes no longer stick to me, I'm not dripping with sweat and I probably smell a lot better. The DIL from hell is still stressed out But at least she's not shrieking "We're all gonna die." anymore. Still shrieking tho. Damn, where did I put the tranquilizer dart.
We're trying to get our act together for a trip to Pittsburgh but still waiting for confirmation on Judy's O2 concentrator. Damn insurance companies. I'm gonna brave it and not arrange for my O2 up there. I've looked at USAir and United online but their sites leave too many questions so I guess we'll have to do it the old fashioned way.... by telephone.
Hopefully, we've seen the last of the nasty weather, at least for this year.

glad to hear you have life's comforts back kip. 
I just returned to central florida from 1 1/2 weeks in Ohio. I was struck with the smell of rotting plants, all the debris and broken trees. My neighborhood really looks like crap  bummer

Good to hear from you Kip. That is a loooooong time with no power. Glad to hear the accomondations at home are getting back to normal.
Well, now you can sit back all winter and reap the benefits of Florida living. It has been a truly devastating season for everyone down your way. I hope the next few years will be kinder.
Say a big HI to Judy for me and stay cool the rest of your warm days this year.
