Is this Normal?

Hi,

This cycle started in april.
It was really bad until the end of june, then things got better but still not PF.

In august I thought it was over and I quit verapamil, bad idea, so I restarted.

By the end of august, early September I quit vera again and I didn’t have any attacks for weeks, (hmm finally). Still I had little twinges and stabs but very tolerable, (just a way of Mr Beast to say: “Hey I’m still around”) and now: they are back.
Mr. one o clock is my most regular guest but… not every night, that’s so weird, last week I had a day with 3 struggles, the next day I had nothing.

Weird isn’t it?

     Ronny.

I'm no doctor of course, and not even episodic, but I do believe from personal experience that the different meds we have to take have an effect on the beast's time table.

Very similar to my current cycle.

Started @ the end of May, found some relief towards end of July in fact had nearly 2 weeks of relative pain free. (just shadows and twinges. low level)

August 1st wham back in and that continued until beginning of September which gave me a few days here and there then started ramping up again last week. So far this week I've been on my Tank quite a bit and have had to give myself a stab a little more often then I have in the past.

Yesterday I started with the roids again (round 3).'

We'll see....

It is what it is.   Stay Positive as best ya can. That's my thing Wink
No clue only now my neck Fucking hurts again after smacking it around.

Whatta tribe we are  Cheesy

Hope you catch a break for good!!!

Yes, it does seem quite similar,

It's just, until now it was

  • yes or no (in or out cycle)
  • every day
  • on time.

This cycle that I'm in is pretty out there, too.  Since June, one every 8 days all at the same time of day, left sided.  End of August, cycle starts 2 a day for a week then kicks up to 4 a day, 4 hours apart.  Peaked at 6 a day for 3 days, 5 hours apart.  Started Verap, got trigger point injections and then it took 2 weeks of stepping down from 6 to 5 to 4, etc.  Ssshhh...don't want to wake the Beast, but have been PF for 40 hours, now.  Don't have no rhyme or reason.  I quit trying to figure them out years ago.

I can only add that since I've been on Verapamil 960 mg I've been pain free for over a year.  But the verapamil is something I take for blood pressure as well.  My neurologist decided not to taper me down from 960 since I had no side effects from it, it was the only thing that stopped my last cycle.  I may be on it for life but if it stops CHs from coming I'll take 10,000 mg a day.  Good luck to you.

The more things change the more they stay the same.
After 30 plus years the sucker still has me guessing.
