Right now, Mount St. Hell is only giving some small rumbles. From what I've read, it doesn't look like it's going to be as bad as the 1980 eruption. Still... Someone give that bi-yotch some Alka-Seltzer!

LOL>.Svenn..I thought you said I was in no-mans land??? HMMM?? Facrt of the matter is, I am in Oregon City, Ruth, and would be glad to chat with you...... As for Mt St Helens..welll, no, gang, we can see Mt Hood from here, but not St Helens..she popped her top years ago!!! If, as my eloquent friend the Jeepgeek put it, St Helens blows again, it is not expected to blow like last time.we still may have streets filled with ashes, but the chances are slim... So, Ruth... ya might wanna stay out of Seattle....other than that, life is as usual.. Ruth, let's chat, shall we??? Cathi (oh, and thanks, Alley..good catch!)

According to the news this morning. She is rumbling a lot harder and an eruption of some sort is "imminent". The wind is out of the NE today so anything that goes up will probably come down on Portland. I can go watch or sit here in Newport at the Rogue Ale brewery and watch it on the tube. Hi Cathi Its going to be nice on the Coast this weekend. Grab Gil and the Vette. Take a drive. TTFN

By all means go to Victoria. What a beautiful city. We visited last year, took a tour around the island on one of those double-decker bus. Only had one afternoon there and want to go back for a longer stay.

I'm going to school and in a very busy program so it takes more time then I have!! Are you fellow Oregonians getting together on the 15th? IM me with the info. Mast is nearby in Washington...if there's a trip planned to beautiful Victoria you could kidnap her along the way K

200 miles north of the Volcano, no worries. I'm closer to Victoria then to St. Helens I remember hearing the boom of Helens in 1980, I was 9 years old. They say this erruption won't be as bad as the other, since there's no top to blow off, lol. Lemme know when and where the meet n greet is Mast
