Cervical Discectomy (Obviously Non-CH)

Just received word from the Doctor that an Anterior Cervical Discectomy w/Fusion is has to be done to my neck. Looking to be done in November.
Just wondering if anyone has had this done & can either IM me or give me some basics of the surgery. Especially healing time & side effects.
